Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe bathroom and shower is only one for many rooms. Too little bathrooms for the rooms.
Each room is a pod with TV, 1 outlet, curtain, bedding, etc. Very unique and private.

CanadaI feel like there are some organizational issues that need to be addressed and could be done at little to no cost that did hamper my experience a bit. First, the access control could use a fix. There are comments about cards but I had a code that I had to enter and had to go through 3 before getting one that worked because too many people are changing and modifying codes without consulting the others. Your doors say they accept cards and I would gladly pay a card deposit if that let me skip this unfortunate step. Perhaps you can investigate other software to run your access control system that allows you fto automate the process of validating and invalidating codes and cards. I felt that this was a bit of a pain and made me really scared about being locked out of my room at night. Second, the pods are not quite what I expected and I don't fault them entirely for this as I was told this was due to fire codes. I assumed my pod would close and lock so I didn't bring a lock and saw at least one guest check in with the same issue. I had to go to a corner store to get a lock which was a bit tedious. In the short term, why not buy a bunch of locks and either sell them on site even through a vending machine offer them on loan with a deposit? I would gladly pay a $10 deposit to get a lock in this situation and you could engrave them or use QR code stickers to log them for little to no cost. Lastly the noise. Two big issues contributed to this. First the TVs in the pods which may have been installed before the pods were modified for the fire codes can be set very loud. I didn't even use mine and I don't think they added any real value so if they were removed I would be perfectly comfortable with my own devices plus headphones. Other guests would blare their TVs well into the night which was uncomfortable. Also you NEED some sort of lights out policy! There were parties with people screaming and dancing past 1am which was super inconsiderate.
The pod hotel was a different approach to the hostel idea. The location was good and the staff member I met on Saturday was extremely kind and helpful. If the owner is reading then the staff member on during the evening on December 16th is a fantastic guy and definitely made the experience more enjoyable.

CanadaThey should implement or fix the conditioning system in each capsule bed. There is no door to close a capsule completely, which is disappointing. I would recommend making an auto discharge of TV screen after some time of no usage and turning off speakers after 11 pm. to keep privacy for all guests.
I love the location and type of hotel.it is a capsule hotel. And might be very comfortable with a couple of modifications. The hotel has a bathroom and kitchen, and your bedroom has a private TV screen and a good light system.

United StatesThe place isn't really "staffed", in the traditional sense of the word. Pod room was not locked, so did not feel very secure. Not enough toilet and shower facilities. A bit noisier than I anticipated. A more comfortable common room would keep some of the noise out of the sleeping area.
Great location. Pod was comfortable. Good kitchen facility.

NigeriaThe hole called cubicle or capsule was too tight for human habitation , no door, no privacy, you crawl into the space with your head, and crawl out with your legs!!! No privacy!!!! You can't even stand up inside the space!!!! No space for changing your clothes, you either wear ur clothes inside the bathroom after bathing or in the toilet, after poooing!!!!! Too bad for me!!!!
The staff Marlyn, Diana and the cleaners were good and friendly. Their boss Max was also helpful, though I didn't get to see him.

FranceWhen I booked, I decided to pay extra (vs other hostels) to have pod privacy. But actually POD DO NOT CLOSE! It seems local rules prevented them to allow guests to close their pods. I had to improvise a curtain with my towel to avoid other guests to ser inside. Pods are super comfortable, but have this problem. I believe the staff should reinforce the need for silence in the room with new guests, because many of room mates have never been to a hostel before and were making calls or watching tv between 22h00 and 8h00. Another issue: they have pot tvs in pods with poor sound isolation, without any warning about using earphones. You can imagine the results, since many people simply lack common sense. I had a great stay, but had to instruct other guests myself…which was really annoying. Pods were clean but kitchen was very dirty at all times (despite constant presence of staff).

CanadaWould be nice to have a second bathroom for possible 20 people ( 2 per pod x 10) Shower has several spray options and when used correctly has hot water. Some people are not mindful of others - boys put the seat up and hit the bowl! Only 10 lockers like at the gym. Need better storage for possible 20 large suitcase /backpacks, coats, shoes I always had stinky shoes outside my lower pod when I woke in am. Tried to not knock the coats off the luggage when walking past.
It was like staying in my sisters trailer (lower bunk) but more privacy and little sound transfer from upper guest. Great for my one night in and one night out of Old Montreal. Staff were able to secure my luggage when out for the day.
