Bring able to find out what the status of the water was and not have a bloody recording telling us to call repeatedly...very aggravating. Otherwise, not all that bad.

It"s hard to do a rating when over Christmas there was no housekeeping, and the place had no water for most of the day on the second day we were there....contacting the hotel during the day was impossible no matter how many calls we tried to make..nobody answered and we just cgot a recording to try later....which we did as well, several times - same result. We were trying to call back to see if the water had been restored....no answer meant a round trip of almost 50 k when answering the phone would have been easier. As it was, we simply stayed away all day and came home late at night...the water was back on. HOwver, we have stayed at the Pomeroy before...and the service and accommodations were great. This was a one-of we hope anyway.

The bed was a tiny bit stiff for my preference. The remote would not turn on the TV and then when I turned it on with the buttons on the TV, there was no cable or available programs. Didn’t complain as we were only there for a short bit. Front desk said they would get someone on it when I reported it as we left.

The rooms were very large. Had a full kitchen! Stove, oven, a few dishes, dishwasher plenty of storage. Great warm breakfast, great location.

Hallways rugs are dirty and dingy, with a bunch of massive stains. This doesn't really influence the comfort level, but also doesn't add to the appeal of the place.

Location was great, and the place was very quiet. It was great to have a separate bedroom.

Unfortunately, of the three lamps in the room there was only one working bulb, so had to do some juggling to have a reading lamp. I did notify the desk on checking out.

The hotel was fine - and easy to locate. It was a large room and comfortable. It would have been nice to see a second luggage stand in such a large room. The beds were comfortable and very clean. The light in the bathroom was very bright - which is a treat! Often they are not. My partner was happy with his breakfast - and as he uses a walker one of the lovely staff helped him to his table. This hotel could use a carpet cleaning in the halls, but we realize it has many working men using it, and understand it can be difficult to have everything perfect. Over all we were very happy with everything.

Hallways smelled of rotten dirty carpet, with multiple stains on them. Pillows were like resting your head on a concrete block. When I asked the front desk for more pillows for my daughters for the pull out they didn’t have any.

The breakfast and the pool was the best part about the place.

This was a contradictory experience. For the price, the room was poorly furnished and dirty. We stayed in a suite with kitchenette, and there was only 1 fork, 2 spoons, and 1 knife. Room cleaning was only available by request, but though we booked for 3 nights, there was only 1 dishwasher pod and 1 coffee. There was a sign in the room indicating we should text for assistance, which we tried as we needed soap, toilet paper, forks, blankets and pillows (for the pullout), but we did not receive a response or the items. We had to search out a staff member, which took a few tries as the front desk was not always staffed. On the other hand, the fitness room was spotless, and surprisingly well-equipped, with a good selection of equipment in good repair. The waterslide in the pool was unexpectedly fun. And the breakfast was varied, generous, and tasty, with fresh cracked eggs and baked goods made on site.

Very disappointed -- grab and go breakfast when website said full breakfast. I have stayed here before at Christmas and have always enjoyed a full breakfast. I was told at check in about the bag and go because of the 'holiday'. Does it not make more sense to have more staff on rather than less at your busy times? Also the sign out front of the hotel said 'pool was up and running' and the waterslide sign was lite up -- the pool and hot tub were both down. Coffee and hot water in lobby were always empty.

One staff member - a young gentleman working the morning of Dec. 29 was very apologetic and helpful. He was the only staff member to go out of his way.

For $180, I was so highly disappointed. The pillows on the bed were not actual pillows but the square decor pillows, so uncomfortable. It looked sloppy and unkept. It was not worth the price.
