Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The host responded to any questions/concerns and immediately accommodated our needs. We would definitely stay here again. We had the best breakfast right around the block at L'antiquaire Buffet.

New ZealandMy only criticism were two light bulbs out and one bedside lamp where the cord didn't reach the plug. An extension cord and regular checking the bulbs would solve this.
Vey good location with water and night-time views across to the illuminated grain silos. Once inside the apartment itself, and passed the dated, rabbit warren entrance, there was pleasant modern decor with excellent facilities. Ample glasses, plates etc and nicely stocked basics such as tea, coffee and seasonings. Nice sitting and dining areas. About 1 km easy walk to a good supermarket. Good value and would stay again.

United StatesThe stairs were a challenge with luggage, but my wife and I are Super-Seniors and everything is a bit more of a challenge these days... Otherwise, everything about the apartment was first-rate.
The apartment was great in every respect - spacious, updated throughout, well equipped, comfy furnishings, immaculately clean. The location was great, too, with easy access to many restaurants and shops in the old city/harbor area.

CanadaWe were only provided one roll of toilet paper and when we requested more were told we would have to buy our own - we were not notified prior to staying at the property that we would be required to bring our own so it was a bit unexpected when we ran out and there was nothing around for replacement! The beds were not very comfortable - the main bed felt like a futon mattress and the pull out was exactly what you would expect from a pullout couch.
The location was perfect, parking was easy, and there was a great rooftop deck shared with the rest of the building. The inside was a great size for 4 people to stay and all the kitchen necessities were available.

BelgiumThere is no elevator so it is very tiring when you have a lot of luggage as you have to bring these upstairs via the stairs. The apartment has only 2 windows in the front and is quite dark.
The apartment is very close to the old centre of Quebec City, so we could walk everywhere from the apartment. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare breakfast and dinner. We slept very well in the beds.

CanadaThe stay would have gotten a perfect score if not for the group in the apartment above, who made a lot of noise until 3am on our first night there. Bring earplugs! Minor point: the closest bakeries/cafe's open on a weekend morning were a bit further away than we had expected (about a 10 minute walk).
The apartment itself was perfect for a family of 3. Communication with host was great, any question was answered promptly. Many parking options nearby, but if you visit during the weekend you may want to park near the station where daily rates are lower than on the nearby lots.

CanadaHad previous Booking.com stays in Quebec City and Old Montreal that had parking fees part of the stay and they were not as expensive as this location. Had missing lights in the bathroom and didn’t appreciate cleaning services coming knocking on our door at 9:15 when check out is 11am. Kind of felt forced to leave and left at 9:45am.

CanadaHonestly, I would have given this place 10 stars but felt the service to be completely unacceptable. I called the contact information provided in the reservation Sunday morning to inform them that my toilet was clogged and simply requested a plunger. I said this in both French and English so I know language wasn't the issue. The woman said that someone would be by shortly. 2 hours later still no plunger. I called again and she again said someone was coming. I asked that they just leave it at the door as we wanted to go explore for the day. Later that evening I called again because we still were not provided with a plunger. It was a different lady who said that the morning worker was new and didn't know that the handyman wasn't available till Monday and that she was sorry but that there was nothing that could be done. I was shocked and said I simply need a plunger and could do it myself. How am I suppose to function without a working toilet until the following day? She then said oh well she can drop off a plunger and that she thought it was a bigger issue than that. She did drop one off for me shortly later but I am still so taken aback that if I had needed a handyman there was no alternative option or suggestion for ensuring we still had access to a functioning toilet. Essentially if there are any maintenance issues during your stay over a weekend you are out of luck. Considering the price of this accommodation, I do not find this acceptable and would not book again.
