Room arrangement allowed only one bedside table. Lighting was inadequate in some parts of the room. Heating/cooling fluctuated between too much and not enough and required frequent readjustment.

Location was excellent, right in the middle of everything. Historic charm draws us back every year. Staff is wonderful - helpful, courteous, responsive to their guests' needs.

The fridge in the room did not get cold, there was no coffee maker in the room which was very disappointing and the TV was very small for the size of the room.

Water pressure in the shower was low.

The location was fantastic—very convenient to the 4 Stratford theatres. The room was comfortable, and there were amenities on par with the finest hotels. It was pleasant and convenient to have a restaurant on-site. I was pleasantly surprised there was an elevator too!

NO complaints.

NO breakfast available -- that would have made our stay even better. But the coffee in the lobby was of exceptional quality. Closest breakfast/brunch we found was at Bentley's, always an enjoyable meal there. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet too. Your staff was really friendly and helpful. We always eat at least one meal at the Boar's Head Pub and enjoy the food there too. The location made it easy to walk to all three theatres where we had tickets.

It is a very old hotel I think 1850 or 60. But I enjoy the character of these historic buildings. I would say it's a tiny bit tired. But in keeping with its history.

Location could not have been better. It was right downtown. On the main Street of Stratford Ontario. Within walking distance of all amenities, wonderful restaurants, cafes, and a short walk to the theater.

Amazing location, located right downtown, and easily able to walk to restaurants, shops, parks, theatres, the river, etc. The room was clean and nice, and the staff were all extremely friendly (let us check in early, and kept our bags for us after we checked out as our train wasn't until the evening).

The dining room was not available when we wanted to eat, but the hotel is attached to a pub which was open and had good food. So it was really no problem. Also if you need the elevator, be sure you get a room on the same level as the elevator, since the hotel has a split level with some of the rooms.

I have stayed in several hotels and inns in Stratford over the years and this one had the best location. It's a little old, but unlike many of the older hotels, it had an elevator which was important for me. I don't walk well, but the location is so good it was easy to walk to all the theatres and the downtown shopping. This meant I did not have to drive once we booked into the hotel, and that I could have a drink in the intermission of the plays. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely book here again.

All was good! If I HAD to say something it would be the inconsistencies of the room suuplies.. We had 2 rooms, one had plastic cups, one didn't, one had extra bedding, one didn't, etc There isn't anyone at the desk after 9 pm so anything you might need you must get before that time.

Staff very helpful, rooms were unique, bed very comfortable! Excellent location for walking to shops and restaurants. Also convenient having the Boars Head connected.

The shower was a little bit difficult to get the temperature right and consistent. But that did not negatively impact the space that much and it was really nice in general.

The location was amazing; it was walking distance to all the main spots in the really cute town. The check in process was easy and the staff was incredibly kind. The facilities were on the older side, but everything was clean and well maintained. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. After the front desk goes home and they lock the front door, there is a code for you to get in for security, but there is also always a person there you can call if you need something.

Very comfortable accomodation with an excellent location for walking and shopping. Just wish I had know that so many of the restaurants werre not open while I was there.
