How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Mattresses were not great. Shades let in too much morning light. Water pressure very low.

We stayed for a full week, we were to have a clean and supplies replenished after 4 days but that didn't happen. We aren't dirty so didn't really need the clean but I had to ask for more toilet paper and tissues. Would be nice to have a few supplies in the kitchen.
After reading previous reviews, I knew what to expect. It was good value compared to other hotels, allowing us to spend money on other fun things. It was clean, quiet and a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cooking stove top and oven bit far at the end of the hall.on one side of the floor.
Close walk to the Distillery District, Green P Parking below the building, 2 bedrooms, full fridge, kitchen table for two, sink, counter and microwave very clean. .Also convenient for street car stop just nearby. A comfortable place to stay.

Location from Waterfront Trail, on bike tour. Able to take bikes to room. Location to Distillery District

Specific smell of the room (both too bad but just noticeable). However, it is not noticeable after 10 mins in the room. It might be just me. My partner didn’t comments on that. Room bed is one and a half I guess (small for two adults). I thought we will use only one room but we slept in different rooms because of bed size.
It is good for its price! Student residence has its limits on the level of comfort, but we were ready and we didn’t plan to use the kitchen. Pretty clean and has all basics for a sleep over: sheet, towels, small shower set, paper.

The name of the hotel is different, it's actually called The George. This made it somewhat difficult to find. It's also a student accommodation building which was sometimes noisy. The shower left a lot to be desired.
Location was incredibly convenient for getting to the city centre and the distillery district was only a few minutes walk away. The rooms were clean and well presented.

Not being advertised as college accommodation.
Great space in rooms and convient for walking into city. Good staff. It would be better if this was advertised as college accommodation and that there is no utensils in kitchen which surprised us, especially arriving late at night. But we asked at desk and got given paper plates, knives, forks , spoon etc. We then got a takeaway and kept the containers to use, so managed quite adequately for the 6 nights. We brought coffee in the coffee shop next door in the evening and then just reheated them in the microwave in the morning, so with a little adjustment all worked well for our stay.

Very basic
The location was great, close to the distillery district. There was a carpark next door. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. Perfect for a night in the city if you just need a bed.

The room was clean but stuff were missed, no shampoo in the washroom, the toilet paper was low and no refills, a bit expensive for a room without a kitchen.
The location is very good and close to everything. The staff very friendly. The rooms are good for the price and the money. Very secure area and some good places nearby.

Nice-sized rooms and beds. The place was clean and the staff was helpful. Walkable distance from the train station. Cafe Nerby, is good for breakfasts. Wifi is good. Easy and quick check-in and out.
