Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe weather was very hot so a portable fan would have been useful as there were a lot of mosquitos.
The cabin was great, comfortable and stocked with the basics. The grounds were clean and well looked after. A great location minutes from the village and close to the bike and walking paths.

Hong KongOur yurt has a walkway that was a tad steep and requires a bit of good balancing when carrying luggages (or little ones) up or down from the yurt. But that is very minor compared to everything else that is fantastic.
Yurt with clean beds and common shower facilities. Close to parking. Was especially happy to see a portable AC inside the Yurt during our stay with the heat wave.

CanadaOffers more than just your typical posh Whistler hotel experience, plenty of yurts, cabins and options for RV’s and pop up tents etc! Bathrooms and everything are clean and close enough to all the different sleeping spots, super convenient to get into Whistler without the hustle and bustle. Spacious enough to relax without having someone breathing down your neck even on the weekends. Spa right around the corner so your spoilt for choice on things to do!

CanadaThe beds in the Yurts should have mattress toppers - there was a spring in Yurt #4 that poked up a bit depending on how you layed on the bed The cafe wasn't open - and I would have liked a coffee in the morning, and not have to drive for one
I loved the friendly service of all the staff, they answered questions, made suggestions, and were so nice when we thought we had lost our key (which we later mailed to them, and they refunded us our $25) The area was clean, quiet, beautiful. Washrooms were fresh and clean, and plug ins in case you use a blowdryer! (bonus) We loved exploring all the trails and paths found rushing rivers, and singing birds, squirrels and other various animals each morning. We saw a black bear on the hill next to Tim Hortons making his way up the mountain - just untouched nature! The glass dome was amazing with the stars at night shining in, and it was super light in the AM

CanadaNothing. It is a really wonderful facility.
Riverside Resort has a variety of accommodation options but we stayed in a yurt. It is really good value and can easily sleep 4 or 5 people. We were at the end of the line, so the bathroom was a bit of a trek, but that’s camping! I think that you can request sites closer to the bathroom if that’s something that you think you’d need. The yurts are set in the forest and are absolutely gorgeous. You can cook outside using your own camping equipment or treat yourself to one of the myriad of gastronomical choices in Whistler. Whistler Village is a 5 minute drive away and there are ubers and taxis if you end up enjoying yourself too much at one of the pubs. The bathroom and showers were spotless. The bathroom facility also has a big utility sink outside. Despite the rustic vibe, there is wifi available and it works well. We stayed here specifically to go to Scandinave Spa and our yurt was about a 3 minute walk from the entrance to the spa.

CanadaIt was good, but with a few touches could be GREAT! - If it had a kettle and some instant coffee in the morning, that would have been great! - The sky light was VERY bright in the morning and would have been nice if it had a curtain. Make sure to bring an eye mask! - A mirror would have been nice - I can also see how if they had rearranged the furniture, they could have fit a small love seat or couch.
It was a great location and had the following: - Table and chairs - Comfortable bed - Mini fridge - Lights - heater

CanadaWe checked in and were sent to one of the yurts. When we got there, it had not been cleaned yet (beds were unmade, garbages were full, chairs were not put away). We had to drive back down to reception and let them know that our yurt was unclean. They then moved us and let us know they had made a mistake and put us in the wrong yurt. The next one we went to was clean, but it wasn't the best experience.
Beautiful views. Very close to Whistler Village. Heaters in the yurt worked great. Parking was easy and very close to where we stayed. Apart from being put in an unclean yurt at first, the facilities were very clean and the bathrooms were really nice.

CanadaThe largest stove burner did not work, The ceiling fan appears to be loose on it’s moorings, which poses both electrical and physical hazards (cabin #6) , the couch is broken, the mattress in the bedroom is literally one of the most uncomfortable in the world, there was no extra bedding. One of us had to sleep on the couch! E mail exchanges took a week, and there is an expensive cost add on for pets.
The cabin itself is lovely and well appointed. Staff was friendly and efficient. The landscaping and grounds maintenance are lovely. We could have our dog with us.
