Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IndiaRoom was much smaller than expected. One of the smallest two-bedroom units that I've stayed in. Turned out VERY noisy on one night when planes taking off from Pearson flew right overhead. We were lucky that this occurred only for a single night.
Staff were nice. Property was close to airport and 401. Kitchenette in the unit was very useful.

CanadaI rented a two bedroom suite and when I came in there was nothing filled there was no pots and pans in the kitchen it there was no soap snow cleaners there was about five sheets left on the paper towel roll I asked for extra towels and blankets brought up previous to and I know that that can sometimes not always take place but it took them forever to do it also it was fairly pricey because it is considered one of the better rooms in the hotel and as I was Working with a potential new employee it was embarrassing to have had such a horrible state and the fact that we found some empty ladies personal lubrication packages under the bed I don’t think it was that cleaned out for Covid

JamaicaI chose the hotel because it was offering free shuttle service. Booking and confirmation was done. Couple of days before my arrival I had conveyed my arrival timing and asking for confirmation of the shuttle service. They said it has been cancelled due to the pandemic and mentioned that it takes only 20$ to reach the hotel. But the taxi took 38$ flat after loading my luggage. One other Marriott Bonvoy hotel mentioned to their customer that they reimburse the taxi fare from the airport since they cancelled their shuttle. Residence Inn also could have done that. And the bed cover and the flat sheets were not clean at all. Found hair strands and stains. I stayed only one night here

CanadaThe layout of the double suite was fantastic, it was clean, all of the amenities in the kitchen were great. We needed dish soap and a crib for the baby and they were brought to the room within minutes. Overall it was much better than we expected and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The staff were friendly and I watched them deal with fairly picky customers and they were great with them. The breakfast options were great and they gave us exactly what we ordered, and many items were hot!

CanadaFound roaches in the room as well as dirty sheets then when I brought it to the attention of front desk he offered to move our room which we accepted until we got into that room and found a large yellow stain on the shower curtain beside the toilet, so we opted to leave because we were uncomfortable staying in these conditions. I was told that the manager would be in touch with me her name is may she did not get in touch with me, I had to call and try to reach out to her and I was told she had left for the day we had also just found out our card had got charged a second time for the room then I called again the next day and was told she was in a meeting and she would call me back tomorrow this is honestly unacceptable. I’ve been working in hotels for almost 10 years and we would never leave our rooms in such a state let alone avoid a costumer
