How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I don´t like the smell of the elevator, appears that the hotel has more than 100 years old.
The location is really awesome. Only feel steps to get the train, all employees speak English and the parking have many spots.

It's located near metro station but far from the main Montreal attractions. The coffee machine is useless because you can't make coffee and the coffee sand mixes with water. The room we rate is too high
The room was specious and clean. A/C and a heating system operated great. Hot water was available. The staff was ok Very quiet and comfortable is in the room and in common areas

In-room coffee machine is funky. No vending machines. There are a couple fast food places and a small shopping mall within walking distance, but little else around. Breakfast was very expensive for a quality level that's usually given out for free at similar hotels.
Nice facilities, good value. The location is a bit remote, but the subway is literally at the end of the hotel's parking lot for an easy 25-minute ride to central Montreal. Think of this as a business motel. It feels like a motel (though with an inside hallway) in the process of upgrading to a Marriott Courtyard.

Outside, such as parking lot, is run down. Pull-out couch is the least comfortable ‘bed’ I’ve ever slept on. Simply terrible.

A bit far away from downtown Montreal, but the metro makes things accessible.
Great value! Comfortable, close to metro station and there are some restaurants nearby as well.

The bed was not quite comfortable. There were always some noises in the yard (sounds like someone is dragging some metals on the ground). It doesn't always happen but occurred at least 5 times, thus I was woken up at least 5 times, making the sleeping experiences terrible. The breakfast was quite simple, and I didn't think it was worth the price.
The hotel locates in a rural area near a mall. There are some shops in the surroundings. The subway station is about 20m from the hotel's front door. It's very easy to get on the green line.

The pool should be heated. The water temperature was unbearably cold.
The staff were great in responding to a couple of special requests. The hotel is right on the green Metro line.

The curtains in the room needs to be upgraded,
I loved that the hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, Easy to get around Montreal from the hotel, Convenient location. ACs in the room worked well The beds were comfy.

The pool was supposed to be open but had locks on it. Staff said it would be open at certain times but never was. Food was mainly deep fried with few options for healthier fare.
Great location, decent price. Standard room that was clean and comfortable.

the location is really great, very convenient as it is very close to the metro and the mall is acrosa the hotel. the staff are all very accommodating and friendly. we stayed for 5days and every day they clean our room and change our towels😀

A table near the couch would be useful, there is no place to sit and eat other than at the desk
