Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaEverything was great, but maybe there could be some basics to cook in the chalet such as salt, pepper, oil, etc.
We had come time at Rundle Chalet, the cabins are so cute and convenient with everything we needed.

United KingdomNo teaspoons, only one chair other one was rocking chair (hard to eat a meal on). Holes in sheets, and setee covers, three odd plates and very little cutlery. Bathroom very small.
Very basic “hut” but you get what you pay for. Great location for seeing everything. Good heating. Two fridges and full cooker.

CanadaWe loved the rustic and simple cabins and the fact that the cabins were pet-friendly. We also had a few problems getting the TV working (our problem) and the owner was nice enough to come over at night and set it up for us. This lovely spot worked well for us as seniors with pets. We much preferred this lovely spot to being in the main town which has become very commercialized. We also had a very friendly resident bunny in our yard. It was very friendly and allowed me to pet it and feed it. We will definitely consider another trip to these quaint little cabins again.

CanadaBed makes alot of noise whenever changing sides. Washroom shower tap was broken. There was no fan in the room. The curtains were too small for the windows to cover.
They are small and cute. A really nice cabin for the night stay. Everything is there to use and it was clean and organized.

CanadaWould have liked extra toilet paper rolls, and garbage bags on hand without having to go to the main reception. An extra set of towels as well. A dish cloth instead of a sponge. I didn’t bring an axe, the bags of wood were difficult to get kindling to start a proper fire only had a machete. Smaller wood chunks and or bags of kindling would be helpful. However. I will bring this all next time as I would stay again.
I loved the fire place. The location is close to the main townsite. Was a convenient place to stay and had all the basic needs. Would stay again as O travel on a budget so the cost was affordable.

CanadaSome things could use a little updating such as lighting in the cabin.
Beautiful location with views of the mountain. Rustic cabin but with everything you need. Although I didn't use it this time I loved the fireplace in the cabin. Would stay again.

CanadaParking was a little confusing (we were unsure if we could park on the side of the cabin, or the back, or if we should just park right out front). Very muddy and especially around the outside fire pit, so bring rubber boots in case it rains or the snow gets slushy. Lawn chairs provided were quite old. The curtains on the windows and shower head could definitely use some updating as well. Recommend bringing your own soap or shower gel because they provide a large container for many guests (and you just never know what someone could put into it). The indoor fireplace was very difficult to keep a fire lit inside due to its small size and no coals. We tried for 3.5 hours blowing on it almost constantly to keep a flame with tinder, dry wood, and paper galore, with about 20 minutes of a nice burn but still with blowing on it occasionally. Pull-out couch was verrrry soft and uncomfortable to sit on. Difficult/near impossible to see the fire unless we rearranged the entire living room to position the couch in front of it, but we decided we didn't want to try to move the couch because it was very heavy and we didn't want to scratch the flooring, so we had to sit either on the couch but not able to see the flame, or in the chairs for the dining table, which was uncomfortable for long periods. A pouffe would be awesome for putting your feet up if you do sit on the couch, and there were no surfaces to put night water or my mom's sleep apnea machine. Maybe a couple small tables could be added to go on the side of the beds (foldable table trays would be perfect since the rooms are so tiny). Extra blankets for colder weather would be highly recommended!! The pillows were very soft, so if you prefer firmer or more elevation, maybe bring your own.. Mattress in one of the bedrooms was somewhat uncomfortable.
It was a very cute cabin! My mom and I loved the experience :) It was very enjoyable and affordable little getaway. Very quiet. Could not hear the highway (we were in the very back though). Quiet neighbors. Excellent furnace and immediate, ample hot water. All appliances worked. Happy there were cooking utensils and things like potato mashers :) Large skylight brightened up the inside. Very cozy bedrooms.

CanadaI requested a cabin up front where there was lots of easy access for parking as I have a large truck. When I arrived I was giving a cabin in the middle with a tight turn and there was worker vehicles parked in the way and they refused to move. Made getting in and out quite difficult.
Close to Canmore. Nice little cabins.

CanadaThe wood stove door didn’t have a glass panel and the smoke came out into the cabin - the smoke alarm kept going off. We let the fire die down and didn’t use it for the rest of the weekend. We were counting on being able to use the wood stove. There was only one knife and it was missing the tip.. would be good to check on items they are providing to make sure they are still in good order.

CanadaThe only complaint I have is that the furnace in our cabin would pop very loudly from time to time. It popped about 10 times over the course of the night and woke us up every time.
The cabins were cozy, clean, and good value. The bed was comfortable, and smelled fresh. I loved how close the property is to the Banff gate.

CanadaCleanliness could be improved, and as someone already mentioned in the comments the furnace is loud. Overall, we thought it was great value for the money, and we'll be back for sure.
The location was great and the chalet had everything we needed (except for the fireplace. But oh well, we didn't specifically booked a room with a fireplace, and upon enquiry were told that no more rooms were left). It is a bit dated, but we are not very picky.
