Nothing to dislike!

Our stay at Ryan Mansion was amazing. Our host, Robert, was friendly and welcoming. He gave us suggestions for things to do and went out of his way for us several times. The property itself is beautiful and our room was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and different each day. The location is close to nearly everything we had on our itinerary.

The fragrance in our room was a bit strong, but we were able to move the diffuser to the hall way and open the window.

The BEST BnB we stayed in Newfoundland! Everything met and exceeded our expectations. The properties is very well maintained with tasteful decorations and spacious guest rooms. Our beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the big and bright bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. Mary made us delicious breakfast, and we enjoyed our conversations with Robert! We will definitely come back and stay again!

I am always grateful to find modern plug ins which Ryan Mansion does not have. It is not surprising in an old house.

Our stay was an absolute delight, enhanced by our interaction with Mary, the Manager. The Mansion is historic and eclectic, beautifully appointed.

Parking was tight but to be expected for such a location.

The breakfast was lovely and felt special. The setting was gorgeous and the cutlery/plates/glasses/tea pots etc were elegant.

Too expensive The TV did not have cable, limited channels for a high price Breakfast was very limited and was not buffet, did not even serve bacon It's a little far to downtown centre when you're on your way back, it's a fair hike up! No lift and No help to get your suitcase up! Be prepared to lift your own suitcase up the stairs especially if your staying in the top floor.

Great place and a beautiful mansion, the whole house is very clean. But above all Mary was the highlight extremely helpful and always available to lend a hand!

We can’t blame summer in Newfoundland lol but the days of our stay were extremely hot and the proper air conditioning would be a huge plus. Other than that everything was perfect.

There was nothing to like. I would like to see minibars in the rooms. I asked and they said they already bought them but they got an electrician to assess the capacity of the main breaker.

The staff was really helpful and accommodating. The manager gave us recommendation on where to visit and which saved us lots of planning time. He even booked restaurants for us. The reception lady was reasonably flexible with the breakfast timing and tried to fit it to our schedule.

We upgraded to a beautiful room with a hot tub (although jets didn’t work). Hotel is kept immaculate. Breakfast in the morning was nice. 15 min walk to downtown.

Our whole stay was wonderful. Mary was so kind, warm, welcoming, and she cooked amazing breakfasts. Our room was exceptionally clean, and we loved all of Mary's special touches throughout the stay.

An amazing old home with the woodwork and staircase built by the same company that did the grand staircase on the Titanic. The level of craftsmanship is amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the host was most accommodating. The home was also furnished with very nice artwork and breakfast was very nice also.

I was sad to know that Mary wouldn't come home with me when I had to go.

I loved everything about my stay here. The property is stunning - I was a tourist in my temporary home taking pics and looking around. The breakfast's were second to none and Mary is a true gem of a person. I stayed here for a conference at the conference centre and it was a nice walk (10-15 min depending if going down or up the hill), or super short taxi ride. The room is very comfortable; bed, bath, in room coffee - all was great. I loved the personal touch that Mary and Robert provided with some history of the property and stories.

The Ryan Mansion was wonderful! It is one part B&B, one part art gallery and one part library. It is beautiful and so comfortable and we were treated like old friends! We will definitely return.

Wonderful room. So beautiful. The bathroom is amazing with a big soaker tub. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was really good, she made a special meal for me due to my restricted diet. We went for our 10th anniversary and we were really happy with our stay. Would go again.

A minor thing : the hairdryer could be a better one !

The house was spectacular ! . We had a warm welcome from the host and Mary , the housekeeper. She made us fabulous breakfast every day and was a wonderful lady ! It was wonderful to stay in this beautiful house and reminisce of how life used to be . We felt like it could have been our home !
