The TV had a problem with volume it wouldn't turn

Not as clean as expected, There was no dish soap and half a roll of toilet paper left from previous guests.

Location was amazing. Wish we didn't have neighbors though as the other 2 cottages were empty, thought they would have spread people out with Covid and restrictions and rules.

Check in and check out times. For $650 it wasn’t convenient to not be able to get in til 4pm and leave New Year’s Day by 10 am

That bathtub must have a reason for being so high, but unfortunately with my disability I could not use it. That was the only downside to the cottage for me.

We brought our own food; no breakfast supplied by host. The location was lovely and quiet. The property was clean and well-ordered. We could catch a glimpse of the river from our cottage. The furniture was comfortable even for one who requires a good deal of support.

The mosquitos were TERRIBLE, they had mosquito magnets on site to help however none of them worked or were out of propane. After calling the maintenance crew three times someone finally came but they still didn’t work. The following day I called again and the maintenance man did end up fixing it but this could easily be checked when cleaning rooms to ensure they are working BEFORE guests arrive. Also when we were packing to leave someone was standing outside with a watch timing us to ensure we were out by 10am which was check out but it was very uncomfortable.

It was great for the kids lots of places for them to run around and the playground was an added perk! We went with two other families and all cabins were close enough that the kids could sleep in the own beds. We will definitely book there again!

I didn’t like having to pay for my entire stay upfront site unseen (pun intended). I was not told that I had to pay upfront in full at the time of booking. I was only made aware of this when I received an alert about the charge to my card. This left me feeling uneasy about what other surprises that might be waiting. It bothered me enough that I took a video at the end of our stay just to protect us from a damage claim seeing as how they had already accessed my credit card without warning.

Location was great. Not as private as advertised. But great getaway spot, especially for a small group of family or friends. Amenities were great except the barbecue. That was grimy. Minor complaint

This was a mother's day getaway...supposedly in a peaceful quiet location. However the grounds person started up up a very loud wood chipper at 9am on Sunday morning and was at it all day! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Could not enjoy the outdoors at the property, because the mosquitoes and horse flies were so bad. The grounds are not maintained very well, being somewhat overgrown with scrub like vegetation, which likely contributes to the bug problem. Only one canoe available, but website indicated they had canoes. It was not an option anyway, due to the bugs. We rented for one week for a party of four. The plan was, that our two friends stay four nights and our son stay the remaining three nights. This apparently is not permitted. Nor, are visitors allowed on site. I feel these restrictions are far too rigid and the owners should relax them, as it is not common practice.

The cottage was very nice, very clean and reasonably equipped. The screened porch and hot tub were really appreciated, being as it was difficult to stay outdoors. I do acknowledge that they are trying to address the bug situation with traps and screened gazebos. Unfotunately, I don't see it fixing the problem. They need to fix the environment, to prevent the mosquitoes from reproducing. Well positioned between Liverpool and Shelburne.
