Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe decor was a little tired and there were renovations going on in the hotel whilst I was there. Water was off on two occasions which was rather inconvenient and annoying. I was given prior warning in one instance but not for the other. One lamp didn’t work in the bedroom, and dishwasher didn’t work. There was a washing machine but no detergent and no dryer.
The location was good with a lot of shops nearby and food eateries as well as supermarket. I liked being fully self contained with kitchen and cooking facilities, lounge and a balcony with terrific views to the water and the city. TV in lounge as well as in the bedroom.

United StatesSome noises pass through the walls, and how they handle emergencies. On my stay there was a big Fire situation but all they say at that time was stay outside of the building, the issue was middle of the night so many guests where no properly dressed so we end up waiting like 2 hours outside in the cold without knowing anything other than there was a fire thanks to the fire alarm.
The location is nice, close to the deck or the shops in downtown, have many restaurant close by and 2 supermarket one in front and another 1 block away, the room have a kitchen and even a washing machine. I didn't get any breakfast but they have a restaurant next to the lobby.

United StatesThere was a fire that required evacuation. We stood outside in the cold for well over an hour with no information about the emergency. I would think good customer service would keep the guests informed about the status.
The view was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped. I was surprised to see a washer/dryer in a closet.

CanadaThe size of the suite was as small as a matchbox. We paid around 300+ CAD per night to have the most tiny suite room to stay. The sofa was a single seater sofa! Where do you think the other person would sit ?
We booked ocean view room so the view from the balcony was breathtaking

CanadaLikely in conjunction with the recent renovations the window and door in the living room allowed a chilly draft when the wind came up.
The front desk provided exceptional service, all amenities were close by with a pharmacy across the street and a grocery store one block away as well as every type of restaurant within a one block radius. The room was newly renovated and while the door to the hallway allowed some noise to enter, once you were in the bedroom you couldn't hear a thing.

CanadaThe floors in the room were a little dirty, but nothing too major. The hotel was undergoing some renovations so some amenities were closed while we were there. We were told they were going to be doing some work on our floor in the morning during our stay but we were not disturbed and the renovation work did not impact our stay significantly
Good sized suite for three people. The location was within walking distance of many restaurants and places to eat. The staff were very helpful and kind. Beds were comfortable and for the price it was a great place to spend a night in Vancouver.

CanadaI was in an unrenovated room and there were things that could have been repaired. The plug in the bathtub was lose, which didn't bother me because I only take showers. There were chips off the door in the bathroom, the closet door at the entrance was off it's tracks. The curtains in the bedroom were not long enough for the window, which looked odd and did not provide black-out. But these are minor things compared to everything that was fantastic and the rooms are getting renovated so I'm sure all these things will be tended to in time.
I love this hotel! It's convenient to have a full kitchen. The balcony was large and had a great view of city lights at night. The location was fantastic with many restaurants close by and Shoppers Drug Mart right across the street. All the staff, including the work men doing renovations, were very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculately cleaned, even though it was an unrenovated room. Having Moxie's attached to the hotel and providing room service was very convenient. I look forward to staying there again. Ask for a renovated room :)
