The shower curtain was cloth instead of plastic so after a shower there was a puddle on the bathroom floor. The pillows could have been better.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a restaurant on site but never had the opportunity to grab dinner.

Two of the lamps didn't have light bulbs. We like lamps at Nighy. It would have been nice to have light bulbs in the lamps.

It was really quiet at night. I was able to get a good night's rest. The staff are really nice. The motel has a restaurant with really good food. The location is great.

Parking gravel, food was low quality! Very expensive menu, pop $5 each, ice cream 1 small scoop $5, One burger with salad, two pop, two small scoops of ice cream was about $50, incredible rip off, but nothing else close. Stayed there for convenience

No hair dryer. Nobody in the office to request one. To get privacy we had to hang a towel over the curtain rod where there was a gap where the window mounted a/c unit created a gap in the curtains.

The bath and shower had a new surround, very clean. The rest of the place was nice enough.

No heat (a breaker perhaps?), no internet in room (not really the fault of the motel as the internet service in this area provided by Bell (only choice) is dismal. The grounds need some TLC and has good potential.

The rooms were clean and neat with good bedding with additional table and 2 chairs, micro, fridge. New owners as of 2020 on the uphill side of rejuvenating the property and wish them good speed.

The fridge was leaking, shower didn't work, while the room looked clean overall there was pretzels under the edge of the couch from the previous client. We reported the leak and the shower and they promptly addressed the problem. The pretzels were reported and we cleaned it up our selves.

I am not sure if the location has undergone new ownership, because a lot of the reviews don't seem to line up with what I saw. And as you can see from my "what did you like" my needs are pretty basic. The outside of the building is in rough shape, and doesn't match photos at all. This wouldn't have really been a big issue for me other than that there were cigarette butt cans and cigarette butts all around the outside door area of the room. Which as a non-smoker, is pretty gross. The room was fairly clean on the surface, but I don't feel it had had a really good cleaning in quite awhile. My TV also did not work well, which personally is not an issue because I only had it on to check the news. It could definitely be an issue for others though. If the WiFI works, I definitely wasn't able to get it to. I feel the price was a bit high for the calibre of room, but everything in the area is overpriced and most in the same price range are of a similar quality.

I was in the area hiking, and was looking for something that was fairly close to areas like the Bruce Peninsula and Sauble to sleep for one night. The location is ideal for that. I felt the room rating on other sites (fair) is a bit more accurate. The staff were very polite. The room had a coffee maker/microwave/fridge that all were functional, which were really my only requirements. The rate was lower than most places anywhere in that area. If your needs are basic as mine were, you should be happy. The location is the number one pro by far, and what my rating is primarily based off of. I have stayed in other motels in the area that are worse and have higher rates. It's a tough spot to find lodging, especially during peak season.

from the outside it looked very rundown and unkept. the beds were way too soft and sagging. we woke up with a sore back. the bathroom needs serious renovations. For nearly $250/night we expected much more.

If you don't have wifi in the room, just be honest in your property description. You have to go outside down to the office to get any wifi. I appreciate that we are paying more for less due to covid, but just be honest.

The grounds were unkept, there was a lot of garbage around. the place could use a good coat of paint, TLC, and the flowerbeds were not attended to. It was a bit rough, but the staff were pleasant.

Unfortunately in the booking add, it said there was a restaurant, but upon arrival we found there wasn't. Being that it was last minute to book a place and in the peek of the season, we were happy they could accommodate us for the night. Best though, the beds were very comfortable and clean. The proximity to other areas of interest was good.

Dirty dirty rug should be thrown out , towels weren't very clean ,had to ask for towels and coffee first day after that had towels , no microwave no continential breakfast and restaurant was closed not informed of restaurant being closed none to very little housekeeping wifi was terrible

My daughters really missed wifi and couldn't get connection but I gave them a loving, motherly reminder that we weren't there for wifi. LOL

I like that we could use our bbq there and make our own food and how close this was to Sauble Beach. The Motel is a very nice country style motel with hammocks and fire at night. There's space to play ball and basketball hoops there.

I really wanted to see the news & Jimmy Fallon when I returned from dinner @ 10PM. Unfortunately, neither TV nor Wi-Fi worked. In my nightgown & bathrobe at 10PM & after unpacking, I was offered to move to another room, 5 doors down. No thanks at that late hour! TV is a staple of motels since late1960s & Wi-Fi is a must since 2000. Instead, the next morning, I had to go to Tim Hortons for breakfast & Wifi because I had a phone call scheduled with my son via WhatsApp in Belgium. 😢 Also, I was concerned since there were uncovered comforters on the beds, sharing other people's germs.

The only negative was the outside appearance. There were toys, bikes, etc strewn around the entranceway As we drove in, I wondered if we had made a mistake booking to stay there. The windows did not look clean and it just appeared to be rundown. The room was a totally different story!
