How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

That you can only use a credit card to check in some people don't have credit cards but thank God my family that I was up there to see had one

Room lacked character: spacious enough but rather cold and cavernous. Not cozy. Overuse of posted signs and notices make for an institutional feel and do not promote a feeling of welcomeness or comfort. Such information can be included in a compendium.
Convenient location. Reasonably priced. Clean. Kitchenette adequately equipped. Everything worked.

Could have some comfortable chairs in the room other than just dining chairs, but that would be hard with size of the room. No tv in separate bedroom
Rooom was very clean and nicely appointed. Close to hospital which was main reason we were there, but we have stayed there during vacation time and always been very happy. Beds were very comfortable something that I feel is very important.

I was pretty happy overall however it could use an update
conveniently located and spacious rooms. upgraded to a larger suite which was a pleasant surprise. balcony faces the mountains with a beautiful view. loved having full-size appliances as well for cooking. gym had a lot more equipment than most hotels so that was a bonus too.

Water pressure in the shower is very weak and towels are thin.
Great location, outdoor patio/balcony with seating for 4 for every room. Lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance and beach access is close. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet.

Bath tub was a bit small and could have been cleaned better between crevices. No conditioner and soap was a bit harsh. ( for the price the small things like soap and conditioners could have been a bit better) Lamp didn't work. Door didn't shut tightly when locked; Could hear people outside easily at late hours of the night but that didn't bother me too much.
The laminate wood flooring was nice. The hot tub and pool were nice. The location is amazing in terms of multiple things around to do. For example, energy plex, vr, beach, resteraunts, mall. Beds were cozy. Cozy sitting area outfront of rooms.

Not their fault - there were 2 lousy teens playing in the indoor pool when we went. My 1 year old daughter got scared because they were too noisy, shouting and kept diving in the pool. We ended up leaving immediately. Maybe more visible signs to keep other visitors from misbehaving?
Location is impressive. Central to everything you need for a vacation. close to grocery shops, restaurants and Boyce-Gyro Beach Park. Room is clean and unexpectedly sound proofed really well, we can't hear our neighbors.

I was too tall for the shower at 6' tall. Only one outlet near the bed which was loose, so neither my phone nor my wife's ended up charging.

Ice machine locked up early, so no access. Parking lot was tight. Probably the cheapest toiletries I've ever used in Canada.
Clean, well maintained property, but cheap. On the prairies this hotel would be $79/night, but it's Kelowna and truly it's location is amazing and it's what you're paying for.
