How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Whole process worked smoothly throughout our stay, check in, underground parking, room servicing. Comfortable apartment. Good view from window across the city. Great supermarket barely 5 min walk away and city centre close, too.

Very good stay. You need to get used to the fact that it is an apartotel and not hotel (there is maid service weekly and they are responsive to problems). Great location, vey nice apartment.

A few basic condiments in the kitchen would be appreciated. Just as an added comment, for persons new to Ottawa, providing a basic tourist city map would be a nice touch. In spite of having tried to get a map prior to my stay in Ottawa, none was to be had. I finally found one at the National Gallery at the end of my stay.
The View. Very generous size, two bedrooms, two baths. A functional kitchen. Quiet on the top floor. The security of having hotel safes within the bedrooms was appreciated.

The property has a big balcony, unfortunately there's no chairs and table to fully enjoy and the room could only accommodate 2 chairs.The property can deal with smokers to some extent. It's actually allowed to smoke if you pay $250 penalty. So, our neighbour was a heavy smoker girl and when I informed the host about it, she told me that even though it's illegal to smoke in this building, they can do nothing about it but penalize. The property doesn't have small details like knife sets and I had to cut every small food with a big knife which was very uncomfortable.

Many of the appliance had obscure instructions or none. Staff was patient and helpful. HVAC ran very well and kept us comfortable .

Pool was not open. No concierge on weekends.
Fairly close to attractions and restaurants (20 minute walk to Parliament Hill). Clean room and liked the kitchenette. Concierge responded fairly quickly to emails. Property well secured.

The cloth dryer was not working.

No throw blankets or extra blanket for lounging in the living area. No instructions on how to use the remotes for the TV. Should have a more durable key chain for the fobs - my rings came apart and I nearly lost the fobs.
Clean. Great shower. Good closet system. Well lit and clean parking garage.

The only thing we didn’t like was that there was no staff to talk to physically if we needed anything. Also we had to leave the keys at the front on the counter because we would’ve got locked out otherwise but no one was there to talk to.

I would have liked to be able to use the pool and hot tub but unfortunately it was closed at the moment.
It was even better than i expected, very classy, clean and comfortable. Best place i’ve stayed at so far!
