Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany- I wasn't impressed by the online check-in. It took me double the time it would have with a traditional check-in. Afterwards you're swamped with messages, some of which weren't up to date. This was confusing and I had to write to Sonder to clarify (the front desk responded quickly, though). The online process may seem modern, but it's not efficient. - The bar chairs at the table are trendy, but not comfortable for tall people. This was a minor concern, though
We stayed for a week and the apartment was hands down the best accommodation we've had in Toronto so far. It was modern, clean and the bed was comfy (my children found the pull-out sofa good to sleep on as well). Facilities were fantastic and everything you could ask for. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being able to use the gym in the neighbouring building was a plus. The building itself or the main road aren't anything to write home about, but you only need to cross the street and you're walking right into the very charming neighbourhood of Little Portugal. For families with smaller kids: there's small Osler Park close by with a playground and a wading pool. A supermarket is close by (for celiacs: they have a good selection of gf food). We were lucky as there wasn't any construction going on anymore, when we were there, so for Toronto it was very quiet. Great accessability of public transportation: the bus that takes you to Dufferin metro station leaves right across the street. The streetcar station is a 10 min walk away on Queen St W (highly recommended: you see much more of the city, if you take the street car). As mentioned in an earlier comment it's recommended to buy tickets at the airport or a metro station upon arrival in Toronto, because you can't buy tickets on the bus.You can pay the fare on the bus, if you have exact change, though (on the street car you can buy tickets). All in all it was a brilliant stay for me and my family and we'll surely be back in the future.

CanadaThe bed was extra firm, which wasn't very comfortable at first, but did provide a solid sleep. Would have preferred a tv in the bedroom, but the pull out couch was a nice compromise
Great location for what we wanted to do. It was affordable and had all the amenities that we were looking for. Loved having a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Also liked not having to worry about a key/card.

Canadathe only thing that i didn’t like was the fact that for the bed in the living room there was no blanket. but it’s okay you can only ask the staff and they will give you. but it’s not a big blanket like the normal room. but the rest everything was perfect
it was clean! the view was breathtaking you could see the cn tower. the balcony was hugee and it’s was also great because they have everything you need in the kitchen. the staff are sweet you ask them something and they give you. i’d definitely go back there when i come back in Toronto. great experience!

GermanyThe AC was somewhat cumbersome to make run as desidered, and the same applies to the app to open the building and room door. Having a parking spot in the building would be a plus, instead of the 8min walk to a paid location. There was not always a person at the entrance desk, to ask questions or help storing luggage after checkout.
Really well furnished apartment, I could live there! Seamless checkin and checkout with the app.

CanadaWe were granted an early check-in, at an added cost. However, upon our arrival, at the set time, the room was not ready. Thankfully the charge for early check-in was cancelled. This was only a minor inconvenience. The cleaning staff were apologetic as was the front desk attendant. One could tell that the room had been hastily prepared.
The location is excellent with access to many interesting shops, restaurants and coffee houses. Walking throughout the neighborhood was enjoyable as it was safe with an ambience of peace and comfort. The staff are kind and helpful.

United Arab EmiratesOur view was of the building next door and the train tracks, but we didn’t opt for a city view, so that’s ok. The air conditioner was blasting in our face in the bedroom, but it worked pretty well apart from that.
Feels like home. All the kitchen basics were available and washer/dryer and dishwasher were a huge help.

This place is fantastic and has all the amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. We stayed in apartment 901 on the highest floor, and the breathtaking view from the wrap-around deck was truly magnificent. The apartment is fully equipped with all essential appliances like a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the entire place is immaculately clean. There are numerous excellent restaurants within a short 10-15 minute walk.

United StatesBeds were very hard, and the sofa pull out couch did not lay flat so sleep was uncomfortable.
Great lighting, useful kitchen, and in-unit laundry were among some of the highlights that made this stay super practical for my family. Parking was a little inconvenient, but the front desk recommended parking at a nearby grocery store for 30$ overnight.

United KingdomBalcony, couldn’t use as too dusty, looking out on to busy work yards. My wife has health issues so to have had the use of the balcony with fresh air would have been nice. Staff tried to clean it but still not very good.

CanadaCould have provided more blankets. There was only one sheet and a blanket on the bed. Nothing for the pull out couch was provided. Also, stayed 3 nights but only received 1 pouch of coffee which was gone first morning.
Very clean and comfortable! Staff were great and helpful and even stored our bags after checkout before our flight so we could go out for lunch.

United StatesEverything is white. I understand white connotes cleanliness, which is important these days, but it was like living inside a giant marshmallow. White walls, white sheets, white comforter, white shower, white towels; would a gray focus wall have killed them? The glass half-wall in the shower is annoying. I’ve seen it in many upscale hotels and would personally like to consign the person who designed this stupid thing to a lifetime of chilly showers. Water pressure could be better, but I suppose that’s a city requirement. Not clear if there was a recycling program so I left the recyclables in the trash room.
Very comfortable bed. Even though the building is on a busy boulevard and you can definitely hear the traffic on the terrace, once inside, the apartment is very quiet. Immaculately clean. There was a coffee maker but I used my travel press instead so the kettle came in handy. Two markets and wine shop nearby. West Queen West is a five minute walk and offers limitless shops, restaurants, bars, and cannabis, if that’s your thing. Excellent public transport. I felt very safe wandering around. Thanks for the huge terrace!

United StatesSafety concern-Bath tub is too deep and with nothing to hold on to while getting out. A real struggle for a short person or elderly. Suggest an option for a walk-in shower within your facilities. I was scared of slipping every time getting out of the tub.
