How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

The bathtub where the shower it is extremely slippery. Please put rubber mats because someone will fall!
Great stay. I have stayed in several Sonders in Canada and the US and I'm always completely satisfied with them. Before the Ottawa race on Sunday morning they had fruits and water out for people.

Our unit was a little dark, but not a bit deal.
It was close to all the major attractions , government buildings, parliament. You just name it!

Having to leave Sonder🤣
Location is perfect, within walking distance to most attractions, shops and restaurants Spotlessly clean and fully equipped with most necessities Staff were super helpful and went beyond to provide assistance. The Sonder App is a must have, makes communication very easy and staff are very responsive.

parking pls. If the parking lot is full, stop selling tickets to others. I bought one tickt at 6:30pm for 24hrs then went for a dinner, when I came back the parking lot is full lol... Like how..

No indoor swimming pool. Parking is not so good. Too crowded not easy to maneuver inside. The exit is quite confusing. I call for assistance for booking an activity but agent is not helpful at all.
The location is very good. Excellent for going to the activity that we plan. Walking distant to all. A good start for us. What I like most is the apps where you can open the door in your room, elevator and building with your code using the apps. Checking out is easy.

The heating system didn't do much more than make a lot of noise. In 4 days never once got the apartment warm enough. Very comfortable large bed but the lack of a fitted sheet on the bottom meant it took me 10+ minutes to remake the absolute shambles the bed was after the first night! Pillow cases didn't have a flap to cover the end of the pillow - a bare used pillow in your face isn't nice! The TV only being a streaming service meant there was no local TV available. Local news particularly nice to have in a new city.
Spacious apartment, comfortable bed and good downtown location.

It was not obvious how to turn-on the air-conditioning in the bathroom, or if it was not necessary to do so - if indeed the bathroom was passively ventilated. Also, we couldn't figure out how to change the temperature in the room - as the temperature controls seemed to be locked at 21 degrees Celsius.
Excellent and comfortable mattress, spacious and well-designed room, all the utensils that on might expect in the kitchen. Light was well designed - not too bright and not too dim - and the amenities all worked well.

A bit hard for seniors - the long code for entry, no safety holds in shower, ease of parking. The lighting very stark pointing into eyes. couches in other rooms not comfortable. The cost- why was each night a different cost and not noticeable when booking?
Location close to sights downtown. Near restaurants with a little walk. I liked the app that gave a map and how to find grocery. The kitchen was well set up

The only complaint would be shower too gentle, not adjustable, and no enough towel racks/hooks.
Clean comfortable studio with full sized fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave etc.. Equipped with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, table for two, cleaning supplies. Clean bathroom and ample linens. Bed very comfortable. Blackout curtains, minimal noise from street or other guests. Very secure entry, especially at night. Convenient garage parking. Excellent location for sights, restaurants, groceries.

Parking , although it is right there under the hotel, is a tight fit with crazy turns. Not suitable for a larger vehicle.
This is an exceptional facility. We were very pleased with the extras- shelving, hooks, lots of seating and very comfortable beds. The area was reasonably quiet for a good night's sleep. We will definitely book again with sonder Rideau.

I didn't like the fact that no breakfast was offer it is specially difficult when you have kids under 10 let alone 3. the fact

The games room meant only basketball
The place looks great: good design and comfortable. Nice people. We loved it even though we had a problem with heating systems they found solutions immediately and solved the problem next day. We would like to stay again at a Sonder property after this experience

The floor was not vacuumed properly, a lot of dust on the ground. The soap dispensers in the showers had some leftover hairs. Dryer filter was not emptied
