Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt was a bit chilly at times. The bathroom is beautiful, but also slightly unpractical (the two showerheads with the control in the middle, the door is a bit clunky and in the way)
Great location, very clean and beautiful room with giant windows!

CanadaThere is a lot of space available for a small fridge under the desk area. More hooks/towel bar. We sent a message to the text that we received, asking if we could leave our backpacks there for a couple of hours as our flight was delayed...have never had a response...overall, we will certainly stay there again.
Fantastic location. Very clean, great vibe.

United KingdomThere was no privacy in the room once the curtains were open as there was an office block across the road and no net curtains. A note on the wall said earplugs and a white noise machine were provided but we couldn't find either. The big glass door to the bathroom was very heavy (again bad for oldies). The attendance of staff in reception was unpredictable.
The room was well furnished with a comfortable bed, a fridge, hair dryer, desk, chair, iron and ironing board. The bath was very deep and unsuitable for elderly guests but we had no trouble with it. We liked the chocolates provided as an apology for a false fire alarm one morning! The entry code worked fine from the e-mail we received before arriving. Traffic noise was no problem but we were on the fourth floor. If you're a light sleeper I'd request either room one or five on any floor as these face a wall at the side rather than the road! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful when they appeared.

United StatesThe locations of the light switches are not all obvious and one has to actively look for them. The door to the toilet is very heavy and not easy to move. The closet is not tall enough so that pants hang down without touching and lying on the floor of the closet. There is no safe.
Room size, cleanliness, amenities, shower/bath. Easy to enter the building and my room. Excellent value considering the location of the hotel.

CanadaNo blinds on the living room windows means folks in the hotel rooms opposite can see in at night, very creepy. Missed real staff, had concerns about security, access, contacts in an emergency, ie fire, outages. Lack of outlets. City noise expected but not the loud irregular bass rumble in the building. Elevator? Grey walls depressing on a rainy day. Would prefer just a room if I book again.
Upgraded to 2-level penthouse. Nice balcony, great windows, large bathroom, comfortable, attractive minimalist furniture and decor, appliances like a kettle, fan, iron, earplugs, white noise machine etc. Nice bathroom amenities. Great bed. Re-stock room access. Location great.

United StatesI can only recommend this accommodation for single travelers or *intimate* couples B-E-C-A-U-S-E the toilet is only semi-private. The bathroom area is sectioned off with glass walls that have open gaps, soooo yep! Everything can be heard! And the complaints about the bathroom door being heavy are accurate, lol! We are a gym couple tho so that wasn't our issue. Plus the potty humor. =P
-close to Chinatown, nextdoor to Tim's -able to sleep soundly -bed was very comfy -windows had great city view -space was clean -easy access in and out -plenty of tram car stops all around -Lyft is easily available.

Canada- Only one kleenex box for the entire week's stay - Only 2 roles of toilet paper supplied for a week's stay - Shower drain occasionally clogs, starts and stops - Floors could be cleaner, felt a bit greasy - Street noise is very noticeable in the room, but that wasn't an issue for me, could be for people that have sleeping issues. - Burnt out lightbulbs - Weird black crust on the top part of the mirror - Electrical outlets next to the bed are extremely loose and can barely hold something plugged in - Would be nice to have a carpet of sorts at the room's marble entrance, especially during winter.
Nice little room in a great location, with some issues:
