How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pool was super small and the "gym" was tiny with literally 4 sets of dumbbells and 3 treadmills . More than 4 people could not be in there. A bottle of water in the convenience store was supposed to cost $10,- which i found outrageous.
The location was wonderful.You could easily walk everywhere. The breakfast was just ok , with limited selection and the egg patties were still frozen, The room was good and house keeping was wonderful.

Good location. A few blocks from the St Lawrence. Montréal Has the feel of European city. The staff was friendly and helpful, as was the management. Suite was well sized and clean. Nice bathroom. Would return.

The room appeared to be old and not upto date but it was very expensive and had to pay way more than the public parking around the hotel.

I cant find ice machine. The selection from breakfast buffet were limited.
Location was very convenient. Walking distance to Old Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica.

The mixed fruit was kind of tasteless.
The turkey sausage was delicious! The egg and cheese omelet was very good. the oatmeal and fixings were very nice. the croissants and bagels were fresh and I liked the fresh spinach. I also liked the little cartons of milk.

Rooms are impeccable and clean but in need of refreshment. Heavy truck transit from 6:40am was noisy and idling engines sent fumes- i was streetside second floor.
Excellent location. Very helpful front desk staff.

The Hotel is getting dated the carpeting in our suite smelled musty . Our shower handle broke off and it took two days to fix it .

Needs a little updating, parking very difficult in the underground, toilet was not working kept clogging up and not flushing properly even after we used the plunger, there must be an actual object lodged in the trap
Beds were comfortable, location was great, rooms were clean, welcome note and card for anniversary a very sweet touch, lots of room, great little breakfast in the morning

It's in an alleyway and there can be a lot of night and early morning noise: shouting, cars and garbage trucks especially.

The pool! Leave much to be desired. Also - there were no towels and I asked for some to be delivered and they never were so we ending up sharing one between 3 of us.
Location is great, all the staff were amazing, breakfast, front desk and cleaning. Close to the metro and old Montreal and the best restaurant attached

More towels in the pool area! There were often none and we even asked at the front desk but got nothing.
Great location in old Montreal. Easy to walk to the waterfront, ports, science museum, and more. Parking on site was very helpful. Great location and easy access to multiple bus lines.

Breakfast - pancakes, crepes or waffles would have been nice. Kids wanted bacon but sausages were good too.
Location was great and hotel staff were very helpful and very pleasant. Thank you so much! We really appreciated the after check-out baggage hold. It made our trip much more comfortable and fun. -The breakfast croissants were great too!

Needed assistance/ advice from desk staff when our car battery died. Other than a desultory Googling of a non-existent auto parts store, they offered no help, and actually seemed uninterested in our problem. We eventually figured out that Montreal taxi services offer jump-starts, but one would think local hotel staff would know this already, rather than just sending us on a time-wasting wild goose chase.
Comfort and convenience. Parking indoors. Nice breakfast.
