The water in the showers on the 2nd floor were cold. Not just a bit cold but very cold so that was a bit unfortunate but okay.

I loved that everything was organized, with the food baskets in the kitchen with the room numbers on! The lockers were good. The location was good!

Next time I will request a room on the other side of the building to cut down on highway noise during the night.

I had never slept in a dorm before and found it could be a bit noisy at night - my learning curve, next time I will bring some ear plugs as I noticed other more seasoned hostel travellers were equipped with.

A clean, well managed and organized Hostel. Kudos to Josh and his volunteers! Coming in every night to a big multi-generational family of fellow travellers was a comfort - guests were like a happy family all under one roof. It was a bit like coming home. Josh takes interest in his guests and goes out of his way to help everyone and make them comfortable.

The power of hair dryer in my room is too low and weak. I’ll bring my own on my next visit.

Very organized the kitchen with storage bin in fridge and in pantry for each room and bed. Feel free to prepare our own breakfast there. Every guest taking initiative to look after and follow the kitchen rules properly.

Unfortunately the people above us were clomping round in ski boots at 4:30-5:30 am very loudly and kept us all awake. I appreciate this is difficult to control but maybe re-emphasise the requirement to leave all boots in the porch area. Not to be worn in the rooms at all! Thankyou.

It is pretty noisy. Door sound,walking step,someone talking a lot until late night.

I choose room with separate barhroom(with extra charge) It is tiny room but feel like hotel. The view is OK,location is good. I can go to restaurant and grocery shopping by walk.

The pillow and duvet on my bed needed to be changed as they were very much due for retirement - but the staff had no problem giving me perkier sleep gear.

The friendliness of staff, smiley and willing to help. Great orientation to the hostel Great Location. Good sized beds and rooms. Showers are the best I've had in a Canadian Hostel :D

Unfortunately there was no hot water at the hostel when we arrived and all evening because the boiler had broken. We were desperate for a hot shower having just come from a stay in an off-grid cabin so were really disappointed.

We liked that it was close to our route as we had to get the early ferry to Vancouver Island in the morning. It was also close to restaurants for supper, only a short walk away. We were very impressed with the staff who dealt with the hot water issue and immediately agreed to give us a discount due to the lack of hot water.

Bunks are well set up with power points easily accessible and a little storage area for books etc Kitchen was big and could accomodate multiple people. Well located
