Probably not the hotel fault but the last day the elevator was not working so we had to go down 4 floors by stairs with all luggages and 2 young children

A fan in the bathroom would be helpful. We never received the wifi code through email as per the instructions. We arrived at night in a driving rain, so it was difficult to find the entry from the parking lot. This would not have been a problem if the weather had been different. Staff in the building where we stayed were very friendly but not as informed.

Oversize room with comfy beds. Clean bathroom. Plenty of space for our things. Restaurants and grocery store in walking distance. Staff in check-in building were very informative.

The room was not made up when we requested- the one day we put the sign to make up the rooms on Saturday and we were gone from 10:15am-1am and the room was not cleaned

There is no way to contact reception! There is no phone in the room itself so you can't just "dial 0" as in a normal hotel, and if you call the phone number provided by Booking.com you get the voicemail of some guy in "housing services" of the university, NOT the hotel front desk. Really inconvenient if you've e.g. already dressed down for the night and need something all of a sudden. This may seem minor but it really annoys me, it takes literally 5 minutes to look over the Booking listing to ensure all the info is correct, the fact that the wrong phone number is listed just shows a lack of care.

Unexpectedly good hotel for a converted dormitory - the beds were actually really nice, and not "student beds" as I expected, and the rooms very clean. The room layout is a bit strange (if you get a 2-bed room, it's actually 2 separate rooms with 2 separate keys and an area common to both rooms with bathroom, mini-kitchen etc), but it's actually really great if you have someone who's a light sleeper (the other person can do anything in their room without disturbing them at all).

It was very cold in the room with no way to turn down the Air conditioning...found a earwig on dresser, then noticed a spider on the bed sheet upon leaving in the morning. Could use better pillows as well, they were not very big or comfortable. Other than that I love that we did not need a visa or credit card to pay for the.

There is no sign indicating the building was the Summer Hotel for St. FX and it is a building situated among many others. Instead, the only sign on the building is its official Governor House sign. Thus, I spent much time driving around the campus looking for Summer Hotel signage.

The room was larger and more attractive than most other accommodations at this price.

Only complain, I had was, there was no tea bags but only coffee in the room. In addition, you cannot control the temperature of the room.

Location is excellent because it is a walk to downtown restaurants. Nice campus and track to walk and jog around. Room is equip with a big refrigerator, not the little tiny fridge you see in 5 stars hotel!

Location was excellent, perfect for day trips to Cape Breton and for visits around town. Parking was good and the ice machine was a welcome benefit on hot summer days. Room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
