How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The front lobby seemed to need updating. We had brought a cat and the trap door in the wall (under the vanity) to the electrical/plumbing was not properly shut and she was able to go into the wall but thankfully she returned on her own. We then had to place luggage in front of the door to prevent her from going in again.
Good location. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The room was not cleaned for 5 days You must book the pool only to to find other people using it in the same time

Heating/cooling in room was hard to control (cold during the night, even though heat turned up); woken up by sirens in the middle of the night (downtown location, understood its unavoidable); couldn’t gain access to wifi network
Room was clean, comfortable and modern. Common areas were clean and well lit. Staff was friendly. Restaurant staff were wonderful and food was good.

Seems alot of people live on the 4th floor it can be loud my room wasnt very clean and the shower was broken

I didn't like the fact that I spent $1,850 there just before Christmas I was there for two weeks and I never so much as got a complimentary breakfast I didn't like the fact that I was here on the 6th 5th and 6th and the first night the heat was broken and I have Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and I was in the room Frozen nobody came up when I called they came way in the morning hours 4:00 I had to bring everything to the other room by myself as a watched and then they wouldn't even honor an extra night on them I was disgusted that's how I think about that place now.
This time not a thing.

I can not understand a large room king sized bed and just one easy chair. That leaves one person with nowhere to sit in comfort.

The things I did not like and what lowered the overall rating are; 1. The room service menu. We wanted to order but there was nothing appetizing on it. 2. Our shower would not turn on without help from maintenance who came after 3 calls and about an hour later meaning we couldn't get showers before checking out. 3. Calling our room a harbour view was laughable 4. The maze to get to our room from the main elevator was long and confusing. (Heard other guests talk about this in passing)
Good location, Nicely decorated for the holidays, clean, nice pool and hot tub.

Clean the rooms and update them.
The staff were very friendly. The food was great. The whole lobby area was quite impressive. The security at the hotel was great, which gives peace of mind.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We regularly staying at Delta Hotel and it is always a great experience. Our room was extremely clean and quiet and bed very comfortable.The service at the restaurant was excellent! The older gentleman that has worked at the hotel since it’s beginning still has great enthusiasm and good attitude. So good to see!

Staff could have been more welcoming. Staff in the Pinnacle quite friendly but not in reception. Lots of bus tours coming and going. Could be noisy at night. Room tired and underwhelming. Didn't get serviced one day.
Location was good, easy walk to harbour and restaurants. Breakfasts ok but not much variation. Food in restaurant good.
