How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bathroom tissue was so thin. For such an exquisite hotel, my only recommendation would be to have a bit better quality bathroom tissue.
This was our first trip to Toronto. We were so happy to explore some of the highlights of this city. The room was amazing. We splurged and made this a trip of the utmost comfort.

The air conditioning was not so powerful to have such a warm blanket)))
Nearly everything. Very good restaurant Louix Loui on the 31 floor. Fresh and comfortable rooms. A lot of elevators with low waiting time. Valet parking (fast & you could ask for the car simply scanning the barcode) Very good bathroom - beautifully designed and comfortable to use.

Clean and spacious- loved the bathtub. The staff are friendly and ask lots of questions to ensure you get what you need/want/are enjoying your stay. Convenient location- also easy parking next door at Scotia Plaza Garage.

Room was a little expensive
Staff were excellent. Professional, courteous, responsive, thoughtful. I stay in a lot of hotels and this what distinguishes the best from the rest.

Spent a night at the St. Regis in celebration of my partner’s birthday and my experience felt like home. The staff were extremely welcoming which made the check in/out process easy. The cleanliness of the room was amazing; I loved the details and design of the guest room we stayed in, in addition to the lovely downtown Toronto view. Not only this but the butler team at the St. Regis is exceptionally great. Sherick, went above and beyond my expectations, which made my experience even better. Moreover, the service we received at the Iridium SPA and at Louix Louis was wonderful, I recommend the breakfast at this restaurant.

I couldn't warm the room to my comfort. After a night or two the offered a heater, which is noisy but did the work

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and the staff made everything so special. They were extremely organized and all around pleasant. We have already booked our next special event at this hotel. A must stay!

My husband and I have been regulars at this hotel since it was called the trump hotel and we always had an amazing experience with staff, services and the amenities. This time the front receptionist wasn’t as kind, welcoming and I think they’ve stopped going above and beyond for their guests. Also, the shower had some hair in it, but I understand you can miss it by accident, but it was rather unpleasant. Usually the staff knows if I’m about to check in, there would be Diet Coke, some chocolates and a note from the general manager welcoming us, and I’m not going to lie, that was such a great personal touch, it’s what made us always come back. This time, there wasn’t anything, and I felt as though my loyalty wasn’t appreciated.
The butler service is great. Very kind

Breakfast ends at 11am the lady in the front told me they have finished and now they started the lunch ( it was 10h30 ) She finally gave us the permission to enter and provided us with a table behind a wall althought all the tables were free so we were about to miss the beautiful view from the 31st floor. The food was not that good as well! Paid more than 2000$ for really nothing
Great view, not the one I saw on the pictures and ordered but it was ok The staff in the reception are very helpful and welcoming I had a 10k bonus of marriott bonvoy membership as an compensation of my experience

The staff seem disinterested in service. The front desk and wait staff are friendly. Valet is a nightmare. We had plumbing issues in our suite, clogged sinks and shower head wasn’t working. at $1700 a night one expects a higher level of service.

The suite was overpriced for the quality and sparse furniture they had in the sitting room. Toiletry was generic and low quality for a claimed 5 star hotel. Staff were somewhat unfriendly, except for the door man.
The location is good if you want to be in downtown
