Would have been nice to have access to a hot tub or something — although we knew the pools would be closed due to visiting in off-season, with that beautiful view from so many vantage points, a well-located hot tub seems like a reasonable investment in exchange for greatly enhancing enjoyment for families that do stay when golfing and swimming aren't possible. Might increase low season bookings too!

My kids and I enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony, and the lovely breakfast we had at the restaurant on-site.

The location is a bit far away from the highway. The road is a bit dark. It would be better to arrive before sunset

Cleanness, have some hiking trails nearby, the staff is very nice. The breakfast is amazing.

The service was quite poor. For example: we went down to enjoy the bonfire and they had extinguished it 45 min earlier because "nobody was there" and it was "windy"...there were 6 of us there disappointed to see the staff driving away after putting out the fire and it was not windy. We also went to enjoy a complimentary beverage in the morning and they had shut that down an hour early.

I like the front desk service and my room is clean and organized.

The breakfast is normal and the coffee is not my expectation. I like the previous restaurant more then the current. Also, The first floor did not provided the coffee daytime at the coffee room.

Our issue is with the lighting in the room and bathroom. There was an extra "magnifying/mirror light" in the bathroom but the electrical outlet was not live. As far as the room is concerned, again, it was so dark it was difficult to see in half of the room. A corner floor lamp could have easily solved our issue. Now I also understand, there was a fire since we last attended (2016?) and their intentions are to build a new resort building/restaurant.

This is about the 4th time we have stayed at this resort since 2004. The location with its views is spectacular and the staff are exceptional. We had a single room which was very spacious and clean with a balcony on the lake. We also booked dinner in the restaurant and were treated to the best service by very friendly and attentive staff. The dinner was excellent and of good value

No fault of anyone at Taboo but someone peed on my deck before our visit and it had an odour which caused me to not sit out outside much. Boathouse restaurant was a little pricey.

View was beautiful. The room was amazing. It was perfect size and I like how it had a fridge and microwave. The shower was very nice. My spouse loved the bath tub and had 2 baths. I loved restaurant and food was nice.

The location is at least a 15 min drive from the closest stores and pharmacies in case anything is needed. Also the food options around aren’t the healthiest. The pools were clean but a little on the small side and quickly got crowded. The Boathouse was the only restaurant we ate at and for a few meals it’s great as the view never gets old but I could see it getting a little monotonous for longer stays.

Great clean rooms. Very polite and professional staff. Beautiful views overlooking Muskoka Lake. I like that all there were a number of activities to do and everyone was ready to drive my family around on carts, especially since we had a toddler and my wife is pregnant.

Towels were chintzy. Restaurant service was incredibly slow … even slower than “island” service. Decorating was bleh to non-existent. Shower was difficult to figure out and I travel a lot. Pressure was also low. We stayed in Burli grin the next night for a lot less and much better!!! Very disappointed. Have heard about this place for years. Not at ALL what we expected, especially for the $$ Glad we didn’t pay the extra $200 for a “room with a view”!!

The restaurant is terrible....they need to hire a new chef and cooks....like really bad. and very expensive - if this resort had better food they would be more visitors and repeat visitors - seems like an easy fix...the restrauant staff was also oddly slow in every way

It should have Netflix and the boathouse should be open to dine in anytime without reservation that way is not convenient we had to drive to downtown to get food

The facilities look tired, the lobby is not even a proper lobby. Poor landscaping on the grounds, weeds everywhere needs stone work around the pool, rec center is rather dull and not inviting. The new building under construction across the boat house is an eye sore of major proportions. This location could have the most amazing facilities.

Stunning location, with sweeping views of Lake Muskoka. Super comfortable and clean rooms and kind and attentive staff.
