More wall hangers: Perhaps more hooks on the sliding door of the bathroom.

They delivered on a warm welcome by Barry even though we arrived late around 8:30 PM. We made our reservation the same morning for 3 nights and Barry took the time to have a personalized welcome note printed when we arrived. The Queen studio room was exactly as shown , recently renovated bathroom, good bed, bedding, large shower;decor and amenities were top quality. The bathrobes were appreciated. We were able to charge our EV at the Inn on a regular outlet. Cosy garden terrasse in the back : we invited friends for Sandbanks Wine cocktail before walking over to our favourite dinner spot: The Bocado. Our breakfast spot was Lily’s Café.

The cherry on the top would be a bigger bed. A queen or a king would make the stay absolutely exceptional. Needless to say we would definitely recommend this property and would stay ourselves again.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The building is a lovely old house with character but the suite was modern and comfortable and everything worked. The shower was great especially if you are tall. The air conditioning, the ceiling fan above the bed, the kitchen appliances. The extra touches like the beer mugs in the freezer, milk in the fridge and an extra blanket and towels. First rate! The location is excellent many resteraunts and a farmers market as well as stores and Tim Hortons :-) A place to sit outside surrounded by a lovely garden. Barry was very pleasant and attentive. Would highly recommend

Never received instructions regarding the room entry code in advance of our arrival on Friday. We did receive an email from Booking.com but not till the Sunday that said »Instructions that include the entry code to your suite and driving instructions will be sent a few days before your arrival »! We never got the instructions. Fortunately the owner was there upon our arrival. Suggest you book directly with 1885 Suites.

The toilet paper roll was on the “wrong” way. Haha just kidding. It was a great spot! Have already recommended Barry’s place and will again in future.

The location was perfect. It was full of character. A lot of attention to detail. Amenities were plentiful. Having access to the garden and patio was nice.

The room was clean, quaint and quiet, while being close to the downtown core.

Barry waste ultimate host, kind, and helpful. His welcoming and friendly persona added to our experience! Can't Sat enough about how much we enjoyed our time. No oven, but we didn't miss it.

The 1885 is a beautiful guesthouse, inside and out. Barry was a welcoming host, the architecture and decoration is full of character, and the suite we stayed in was comfortable and had every amenity needed. The backyard garden is also lovely and very tranquil. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Barry , the owner was extremely friendly , efficient and quick on his replies to try to accommodate our needs. The location is walking distance from main street. The house is cozy , clean , historic and modern on the rooms. Very worth it. The room can provide you the basics to be at home.
