How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very good location, clean, well maintained, the room has a well equipped kitchenette, good comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, computer, awesome lamps with night light. Parking cost $20

Room was spacious, had everything you needed. I loved that you can take your breakfast to your room and it was so convenient as breakfast room and my room were on the 3rd floor. Also there is a ton of restaurants around the hotel and the Canadian Museum of Natural History just an 8 minute walk from the hotel. A kids park about 5 mins from the hotel and lots of other activities around it.

Exceptionally organized and very helpful reception staff. The breakfast area is well maintained with dozens of options. Room amenities are extremely useful, especially considering the daily rate.

The only concern I had was breakfast seating which was short. Probably bc the Inn was very busy. Not really a big deal. Underground parking would have been impossible for my truck or suv as it is a very tight entrance into it. Otherwise, they had above ground parking as well.
Breakfast was quite adequate and worthwhile. They also had prepared take away bags of water and snacks in a fridge for people to grab n go.

Organization of the breakfast space could have had better person traffic flow.

One free parking spot with the room would've been nice.
The room was very spacious and spotless, with 2 king beds and a queen sofa bed. Everything was comfortable and there was even an air purifier available with a kitchenette. Generous amount of towels, we had everything we needed.

Everything was great, however the bathroom could have let's say a double rack (instead of single) and some hooks for hanging the bathroob etc.
Impecabile customer service provided by Alex. I had a situation and he was very understanding and helpful.

I didn't have any complaints!
The breakfast was very generous and outstanding. There were a lot of choices: different hot foods, as well as breakfast sandwiches, fruit, oatmeal, bread, bagels, different muffins! Also coffee, tea, yogurt. On top of this, there were small snack bags to go with water, cookies and bars inside! This put it over the top!

Lovely hotel in great location for exploring ottawa, rooms great with excellent facilities; balcony you csn smoke on, fully equipped kitchen, bath and shower, iron, hairdryer. The hotel also has a small gym and free laundry service for all guests.

Did not like the sofa bed for comfort, for watching TV. Most are uncomfortable for sitting for extended times.
Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Small suite with a kitchen and seperate bedroom. Bathroom had updated fixtures. Air purifiers in each room. Quiet.

Different entrances for floors 1-3 and for upper floors. Garage was somewhat dingy but had ample chargers for EV's. Small breakfast rooms. Hallways somewhat worn.
Suite was a very clean and modern large room. Staff was excellent. Located 20 minutes to Parliament Buildings (unfortunately under reno), National Arts Centre and Art Gallery. Variety of restaurants in adjacent blocks. Great breakfast choices. Outdoor and underground parking.

Small area to eat could be bigger. Sorry to leave. If I am in the direction again I would book room again. I will recommend the hotel to friends.
I thought it was outstanding . Pain in the rare that the train station viarail was difficult to access unless you ordered a taxi overall it was great. Thank you staff

Breakfast is really not a breakfast as it seems you can take away some packed food, not good quality overall. I was expecting more a classical international breakfast.
