Yeah we first checked in good for our anniversary and birthdays. Got all of my requests filled. We had problems with our Roma. but it did not take long for it to be taken curve very well. The manager of the night took charge got us.Another room and made it feel very comfortable about everything. It was a very pleasant experience that I went through never before. I'm just so happy that the whole facilities and staff, from well-dressed Dorman to service person at. Yes everything was so fantastic. I hope this makes a review.Because it could have been a lot worse but it was perfect in the end. Thanks again for the Management, and it's fine staff for everything.They did can't wait to return.Thank you again.

The lobby is very cold and is made worse everytime the doors open, the heating unit in the room was very noisy. We attended an event in the restaurant and before hand all attendees had to wait outside the lounge. There were not nearly enough chairs and no attention from staff for most of the wait. The bathrooms in the lobby are locked and require a room key for entry. While this was okay for us, most of the attendees were not hotel guests and they could not access the bathrooms. There are no vending machines located within the hotel for snacks and a very limited room service menu.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and well maintained. The location is right in the heart of the city.

the bed was saggy. almost lumpy. the synthetic pillows were like rocks. I’m allergic to down. and while I appreciate you having an alternative it needs to be a pillow. not a brick.

the velvet glove and the lounge are beautiful. the food and service are excellent the staff throughout the hotel are wonderful.

The bathroom door didn't close all the way. I was in room 504 and the door is too big for the frame. While the mattress is comfortable, the pillows aren't. Every day when the room was cleaned, the bed was never properly made. The blanket would be tucked in properly but the sheets under were barely touched so the bed was as messy as you left it as. There's very little parking around the hotel. I took the valet parking which is an additional thirty odd dollars per day plus tax. The hotel staff explained the directions to a nearby parking zone very vaguely and after an evening flight I couldn't figure out where they wanted me to take the car. What they do is they park all the valet parked cars right outside the hotel, so there's very little (if any) space for you to park your own vehicle. That's an unnecessary cost for those of us who are bringing in a vehicle to the hotel.

The bed is comfortable. The location can't be beat, particularly if you have work in downtown. The bathroom is nice and spacious and is cleaned well daily. The coffee and tea bar is also well stocked. My room came with an iron, ironing board, electric kettle, coffee maker and crockery.

the AC doesn’t work properly or efficiently enough. it was at 16C but we would sweat in the room. Ok, it was hot in Winnipeg but the AC was not doing the job. All other venues i went to had better AC then this hotel. also had book 2 rooms. only got 1 invoice by email. i wrote to fairmount winnipeg and never got a reply. still don’t have my second invoice.

dated and definitely not luxurious as advertised. safe wasn’t working, cold and heater didn’t work until the 4th day, pipe is whistling in the middle of the night and really loud disturbing your sleep

I did not realize my room charges were on an upward sliding scale. I felt I could have had more information from the night receptionist eg breakfast times, how to use the room key to get the elevator to operate. Directional signs to the hotel's restaurant, fitness room, mall etc would have been appreciated. Printed street map at the reception would have been very helpful. Thank you.

The parking is in a public parkade right next door but at an extra cost charged by the hotel. They gave us a parking ticket to insert instead of our credit card. The final charge at the parkade exit was half the price of what we paid the hotel.

We spent our wedding night at this hotel. Since it was our 40th anniversary we decided to stay here again. It is still a very nice hotel. It is walking distance to many nice restaurants.

Ice machine not working on 2 floors. Pool was not working. No hot water for shower after we came home from a concert.

We ran into several issues. All small but put together it was disappointing. Management resolution was good and we will try again. Food in VG was fantastic both supper room service and in the restaurant breakfast.

Furniture in the room was chipped, scratched, outdated! Exposed electrical socket in hallway! Drapes were so old, several hooks were not attached to the rod! Booking.com mislead costumers into believing they were booking directly with the hotel and at the end of the day unable to CAA discount, as Booking.com is a third party for booking! As a rule moving forward, I’ll always phone the hotel directly and never use third party booking agency for any travel or hotel stays!

the carpets are getting pretty old looking, no plastic bags liners for the ice buckets.... miss communication on the parkade ... ended up paying when we left part way thru our stay, because I did it as the man at the front desk told me so I didn't get the free parking for the whole time. The. I asked at the desk when we left I would have to talk to the parkade people not the hotel
