How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only issue we had was that the bed was super hard and uncomfortable, but we were only there for one night and still managed to sleep pretty well so it didn't impact us too much.
I was a bit worried after seeing some of the negative reviews, but honestly the hotel was exactly what id expect for the price I paid. Our room was spacious, had all the basic things we would need (fridge, microwave, tv) and we were happy with the cleanliness too. The location is great, walking distance to the shops, restaurant and beach. The lady who checked us in was very nice.

The building needs repairs and upgrading. Wood rot ect. The toilet didn't flush as there was no water in the tank. The receptionist came and fixed it, but knew this happens and has not been permanently fixed. Coffee pot could not be plugged in except on on the floor. Fridge froze our food. $200 a night this should be fixed.

The lady in the office was very rude. We had driven for 15 hours with very little cell service, dealt with road construction, were extremely tired & didn't need to be scolded like a child for not being able to meet her check in time. We tried our best. Not a great way to start our first visit to Canada. Two other couples checked in behind us. Hopefully, she was nicer to them.
The room was very nice & clean. It accommodated 5 adults.

The mattresses are old and very uncomfortable. The parking lot had junk in it. The toilet wasn’t tight to the floor. The door knob was loose and it would be very easy for someone to break in.

The room had a damp nasty smell had to leave window and door open try letting it out. Wasn't pleasant 😕

Very difficult to set the water temperature in the shower, seemed to have a mind of its own! Air conditioner was so loud couldn’t keep it on for very long! Good thing we brought our own fan!

I wish they offer a hair dryer and some plastic utensils.
The lady at the front gave us a key for our room but then when I opened it there was a couple inside. They gave us a better room though so no its all good. Its just that, that is the first time it happened to us.. i think that’s their first too because the lady was genuinely surprised and confused. The room is really clean and the place is quiet.

The ceiling corners were full of spider/dust nets and the drain in the bathtub was so full of hair that the water could barely go down. According to house rules there's a quiet period between 10pm and 8am but it's not enforced, people were talking loudly and listened to music in the parking place way after 10pm. Air condition is also loud, you either can't use during sleeping or you need earplugs or something. Wifi was crappy: slow and weak. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room so I made the impression that I can make some frozen meal or ramen for dinner but there wasn't any cutlery.
Stuff was friendly, they recommended us nice spots and places to eat.

No comments since there was no breakfast offered. Very strange that damage deposit of $150 is required although they have my credit cards on file. When we asked "why" the reception lady gave us many examples,such as someone dyed hair and ruined towels, some customers steals stuff, and on and on. I think they should treat customers with a bit of respect. We asked them to inspect the room when we checked out and asked to reverse $150 charge.
The location of hotel is very convenient. Closed to shops and restaurants.
