Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe motel itself is a 1960's style establishment. The owners must have had a bargain from their locksmith - the room keys barely fit the locks so unlocking the door was a struggle. There is no restaurant within the motel complex. There were no toasters or cutlery available in the motel rooms (although they might have been available in the accompanying cottages).
The location is good - it's close to a Sobeys grocery store, a liquor store, convenience store, and a Sobeys gas station. There's also a nearby Dollarama, a Tim Hortons, and Subway fast food. The downtown Hector Center, the first class Harbor House restaurant, and DeCoste entertainment center are within a 5 minute drive.

CanadaCeiling paint was peeling in bathroom. No exterior lighting meant arriving at night is potentially hazardous.
Great location for access to ferry and amenities. It was very dated; I appreciate this as it presents as a time capsule to the 1960's. It was clean and it was obvious some updates and renovations were being done to improve the amenities. It had many amenities.

The location was close to the PEI ferry. The owners are trying to upgrade an older property.

CanadaEven the updated rooms were quite dirty. It was clear that the floor, dining table, dish rack, etc had not been cleaned before our arrival due to debris on the floor, plastic rubbish on the table, etc. Kitchen cupboards and supplies (oil etc) were dirty. Fridge has not been cleaned recently. We stayed in their "best unit", the 2bdrm cottage. It has both rubbish and recycling dumpsters basically in its front yard. Thankfully there was no real smell from them. However the room itself had a strange fishy smell so we opened all windows and turned off AC in case it was coming from that. Note: bedroom 2 has the bed up against a wall, not great for ease of getting in and out of bed. The property tried to cancel our room reservation, which we had made months in advance, only 1 week before a major local event when all other hotels were already booked out. Apparently due to a flood in the room they had arbitrarily assigned to us. I said I would not cancel and asked for them to seek an alternate solution as we were traveling with family and they would all have to cancel the whole trip. They put us into the 2 bdrm cottage as it opened up so we were able to stay, but otherwise, they would have cancelled our reservation. So just be aware if you're buying tickets to something. I didn't have high expectations as the price and reviews indicate it would be at best a 2 star property - however it doesn't take anything to actually clean the place, regardless of how dated the facilities may be. Cleanliness is #1 in my accommodation scoring books.
The motel is reasonably well located although it is 1.5km walk to downtown. Each unit has outdoor space and a kitchenette of sorts. 2 bdrm cottage has a sitting area and small dining table and almost a full kitchen. Also a renovated, decent bathroom.
