Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaDescription of which parking lot to enter very poor. Took a bit of effort as well to figure out how to access lobby and which were correct elevators.

New ZealandThe entrance to the hotel was quite difficult to find, it helps to know the hotel is in the top floor of Lonsdale Market
Great location in buzzy Lonsdale Quay with restaurants and bars. The hotel had great views of the harbour. The room was spacious and very clean.

CanadaHair dryer, better toilet and one that flushes, dusting, better toilet paper.
The view from our room is overlooking the water front... can't beat it! But, it's looking tired! We have been coming here for years and it needs some help. The flooring in our room has been replaced, great! Hairdryers, need help. Dusty, credenza is beat up. The toilet is lower than average to the ground, toilet paper cheapest I've seen, & had to hold the flusher to get the toilet to empty out. Then again the doors open up to the outdoors, lovely and what a view. Depends how much time you spend in the room?! No bugs, does that help. The options around the Quay are amazing!!

CanadaThe location is the best - near the SeaBus terminal, reachable by public transit, close to the market and to nearby restaurants. Was the best choice for staying overnight in the city.

CanadaThere was an "oily' smell in the entrance area.... Could be corrected with Air Sponge or Fabreze. I own an Airbnb and have worked as a chamber maid for a number of years, so I'm speaking from my own experience. Also, the cleaner could vacuum under the beds better.
Everything was exactly what we were looking for!

AustraliaThere wasn’t an exhaust fan in the bathroom.
We were so close to the ferry into the city and we could see the lights of Vancouver. We could open the window and watch all of the twinkling lights. Magical location.

United StatesThe parking was a little difficult to find. It's also a pretty busy area with cars/pedestrians, so for a not-super comfortable in the city driver, it was pretty stressful to try to find where to park. Also had to pay CAD $28 to park, which was disappointing to find out.
The room matched our expectations. A close-up view of the city out our window, and a nice view of the water/shipyard out our side window. Lots of good options nearby, short walk to boardwalk on water.

CanadaThe pillows were horrendous. The comforter/duvet was not much more than a sheet and the heating g system is archaic and next to impossible to set to a comfortable temperature and we roasted the 1st night!
The location was great. We loved the big windows and everything was clean

CanadaPet policies that don't allow you to leave the pet in the room are not practical. How are people meant to attend meals when BC doesn't allow pets in restaurants or on patios?
Great location, and comfortable beds. The inclusive breakfast was of great added value as you could pick anything on the menu. We would stay again if we didn't have our dog with us.

CanadaParking was very challenging to find and get into as we arrived late. Better instructions should be communicated with confirmation as to exact location ie: "easy park, one level directly next to loading bay for hotel. Its not the larger ICBC parking lot entrance.

CanadaIt's actually really hard to find unless you know how to get in. I just assumed there would be parking signs and such, but I didn't notice any. You have to park in the public parking garage and then find your way up to the hotel from there. There must be two separate lots because the one I was in didn't connect to the hotel, it just connected to the Market. I don't think they could do that better, except maybe some better signs for those of us who don't check on this detail before we arrive. ;)
The hotel is very nice. Very tasteful. Very central. Great views of the harbour and downtown Vancouver.

CanadaLove All the amazing staff! The front desk & housekeeping were incredible!!!!! Unfortunately when we checked in to the room there were several small black hairs all over toilet. The front desk obviously sent someone up but after we had just checked in after driving in from Kelowna it was a bit inconvenient but it was promptly taken care of. Was Not aware that there was No parking for hotel. It's underground public parking and was $30 a DAY!........... The market & amazing staff and great location were highly appreciated!
