Check in took a while as the reception desk was closed and the bar was super busy so I felt bad bringing someone away from work - but I get why they can't keep someone on reception the whole time for only a few check ins.

The location was so perfect and the facilities were really lovely. The room was so cute and the bed was firm but surprisingly comfy and I slept so well.

Our room was right above the pub. This is a very popular watering hole and they were busy well past 1:30 AM each morning. We are an older couple, well past our crazy youth partying times so that caused us considerable loss of sleep. As well, this is a 200+ year old building the is not well insulated for sound so any noises were easily heard.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The location is very good and convenient.

The wifi worked well in the pub but was spotty in my room. I was also woken up by people talking under my windows at 2 am but this has probably nothing to do with the property itself.

The location, very clean rooms, the downstairs pub with a variety of meal choices, very friendly and accommodating staff.

I've never paid so much for a hotel room. Although it is in line with the prices in the neighbourhood, prices are high for the quality and services. Still - it was the going rate. For anyone who doesn't like noise, the pub under the rooms on weekends is rather a challenge if you're trying to sleep before 2am. Luckily we were both so tired that it didn't make a difference.

Location was great -- just one street off the main shopping/restaurant and 3 min walk from the wedding venue. Wish we had had time to explore! Staff in the hotel and pub were all friendly and helpful - very welcoming. Rooms were nice, building historic.

Food took along time which would be fine but the service was subpar. Host was superb but my server never checked on my food, didn't refill my water or offer me another drink.

Be aware that the pub downstairs has great live music on the weekend. We knew this in advance and enjoyed having a concert without even leaving our room. But if you are looking for something quiet, maybe book elsewhere on the weekend.

    You can't beat the location!

Since it is a historical building, the plumbing and water pressure were not exceptional while showing at 4pm but I also wasn't expecting perfection

The location of the hotel was fabulous - very easy walk to all the Shaw Festival Theatres and Fort George. The Hotel is a Historical landmark and has an interesting history.

The temperature in the room was a little hard to control. Felt like it went from one extreme to the other; way too hot to way too cold. If we had stayed longer, we probably would have been able to find a better balance

Location was perfect, staff was amazing, the restaurant was nice.

The lighting in the room was poor….only one table lamp and no overhead light. Air conditioner was extremely loud. Oy room was over a pub so it was very noisy. Beware nights when they have live music!

Very friendly staff. Its location was ideal. The inn has old world charm.
