Unfortunately the carpets in the stairwells and landings required to be vacuumed as there was debris visible throughout our stay. Breakfast was not a great experience with a poor choice of food, food not replenished and very basic crockery and cutlery with no glasses available for juice.

The hotel has an excellent location in the centre of town.

Location - whilst in a good location the hotel has a pub underneath on the ground floor. Car parking - is limited next to the hotel and the spots are extremely narrow. It is an open car park so not secure. Lifts - are old and very small with a sign to ensure limited to three people. Decor and interiors - it’s a very dated hotel. Requires updating. Rooms - the pictures you see online are not representative of the actual rooms. Quite disappointed as the rooms are dated, small, dark - very limited lighting. The TV is connected to a cable box so even the TV is dated. Amenities in the room are limited. Plastic cups are provided for use for coffee and tea and in the bathroom. We are only here for one night so it does the job for an overnight stay however I probably would not recommend if you are staying longer. Two adults with two large suitcases and small backpacks make it a struggle in the room to move around.

Location - Short walk down to the Riverside Park and street full of retail stores and restaurants. Breakfast - was included which provided the basics but was substantial. Buffet style with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and potatoes as hot food options. Options of cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Some juices and tea and coffee. Bread and muffins also. Staff - upon check in the staff at the concierge was very lovely and helpful.

Parking, very limited and with small slots, hard to get in and out. The elevator and the whole building is antiquated, was quicker to walk to the third floor than wait for elevator, plus only big enough for two people with luggage, or 4 with out.

Breakfast was adequate, location was good for what we needed, parking is terrible, noise at night from the intersection right outside, the on site pub was a bonus and food was good there.

Disposable cups provided in room. Hotel is old but some interesting features. Kettle did not work. Took some effort to get replacement. Coffee provided in room but no tea.

Breakfast included. Room was comfortable but cold.

The elevator is a bit small, but serviceable....if you have a lot of luggage it can be a bit cramped.

Rooms were a little small, but very comfortable. They have a good breakfast available.

The cleaning could be improved as far as washing the walls where I noticed splatters, in the eating area on the walls, the carpets in the hotel need a good vacuum and cleaning or replaced as they are very worn.

Rooms are comfy and the age of the hotel has a charm.

The music and chatter from the pub below and the booming base from a hotel private party made it incredibly difficult to fall asleep. Would not recommend this hotel on weekends if you want to fall asleep before midnight.

I had booked a queen room that turned out to be overbooked and was upgraded to a king suite. It was really comfortable, had everything I needed including a microwave. The hotel is on the older side but has some upgrades like heaters and the bed. The bed was so comfortable. Not too soft, not too firm.

The parking situation. You pay a fee park in the hotel's parking lot or park on the street (which is metered).

It is a cool old hotel; it has a lot of character! The executive chef chatted us up when we came down for breakfast - he told us some interesting old stories/history of the hotel and that it was built in 1928! It's been modernized but a lot of the old décor is still in place.

It’s old, elevator felt unsafe (mind you there’s only one). Location is right above a pub/club at night. (really loud) Hard to find parking close to the building at night (felt very unsafe walking to the building after parking at the overload parking which is 100+ meters away from the building.

Nothing really, just the complimentary breakfast was great.

Carpets are obviously old and should be replaced.⁰

This heritage hotel has certainly seen better days but it still has charm. It could use a bit of freshening up in a few areas. But it does have the main things we were wanted for an overnight stay; comfy bed, fresh clean linens, hot shower and good location. The young receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. A simple breakfast was included.
