Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaNot enought shower and the fridge are full not enough space . The 20 dollars I never getting back you must to put some staff to work in night shift because after 10 pm maybe some people need something .I worked in hostel before there is always a staff during daytime and evenings and nights .
The only things must to irmprove are the shower not enough shower and the second things probably to put some staff working after 10 pm because I gave my card to the staff .I came late it s thruth but I didn t get my 20 dollars back must to improve this point it s very important .The location is easy to go in downtown and take the transportation and go to the groceries is very convenient .

CanadaI was told there would only be women in the area I was to be sharing and there was a guy in the room, second, they don't tell you in advance that you have to pay $20 for the key card, and third knowing I am an older woman they only had a top bunk for me to sleep on. So I book out a day early

CanadaIt was a bit dirty, and the building is outdated. The rooms were hard to find. The fridge in the kitchen needs to get cleaned. The washroom floors were a bit dirty also.
Absolutely great! The bed was super comfy and the location ideal! The neighborhood is amazing also, and the washrooms were good. The stairs are a bit steep and it was dark at times, but I got the rest I needed and the water was warm! They do have free breakfast and the kitchen was alright. A+++

MexicoThe office and the unit are far apart so you have to consider this when booking, especially if you arrive late like myself. The staff was kind, but they did charge me a late check-in fee of CAD 20. On the other hand, they provided complimentary transport to the lodgement despite the late hour. Another drawback is the noise, which can be annoying, especially at night. Since the house has been divided into three small units, there might be some noise from the neighboring guests. Finally, there were some insects in the bathroom, not anything ugly, but even though everything seemed very clean to me, I saw small insects always at night.
The most important feature of this lodgement is the location on Queen St., one of the busiest and most picturesque streets in Toronto. The small apartment has everything you need for a short stay (appliances, cutlery and dishes included). It is well isolated from the cold outside. It has a small AC unit, which is entirely sufficient for the space.

CanadaThe bathroom was not clean. The same buildup and marks stayed in the shower during my 5 night stayand the caulking had some black mold. The baseboards needed some serious dusting/wipe down and the floor corners were gross too; the dirt build up did not go away during my 5 night stay so clearly no one is doing a decent clean. The ventilation also sucked - I felt like I sweating before I finished changing after coming out of the shower.
The bunk bed was more comfortable than most hostels I've previously stayed in. The hotel had an outdoor area that I enjoyed spending time on in the evenings.

CanadaThat the booking didn’t mention the address of this apartment was different than the check in by 2 km! Also the carpet at the top of the stairs is not secure and could easily cause a very bad accident. Also not sure how well the space is cleaned. I felt like there was a layer of grime on everything.

SloveniaThe staircase area isn't clean. Neither is the bathroom in the room. There were coloured spots on the ceiling and water was occasionally dripping. The matresses are outdated, I was sinking in the middle and I felt the metal spirals poking out. It was also quite hot; there were fans but maybe an ac would be a better solution for the super warm days.
I wasn't sure what to expect since the reviews were very different - some very good, some very bad. I liked the location, the common area and the kitchen. The receptionist was super kind and helpful.
