I dislike the breakfast - it starts at 9:30 am and it is only toast from white or brown bread with small containers of jam and peanut butter and coffee, nothing else - it is not a joke, it is not real breakfast you cannot open the window - there is just air condition

it is closed to metro, about 5 minutes by walk, the staff is very polite and ready to help you, so nice and so kind the jazz music is till 11:00 pm - I was staying in the second floor, there was no noise, you could hear it but it is OK, you can relax, you can sleep

The main lobby is kind of muggy in temperature, and the stairs can be a little difficult if you’ve been drinking!

Free Wifi, perfect sized room if you’re looking for just a room to sleep in after a night out on the town! Bathrooms are clean and renovated, AC worked great, and the bed was comfortable and clean! The staff was also very friendly!

Simple, straightforward place to put your head down. Beds were comfy and it was quiet for a jazz bar. Rooms are basic but clean

No lift

Great location to the city. Went to the jazz club and had a good night. We were on the third floor, hard taking 2 x 20kg cases up without a lift, but the reception person helped us with the cases. As we were on the third floor, the club noise didn't affect us.

The room was cramped and shabby. Really bad value for the money. The only place to sit in the room was on the bed. There was one metal folding chair for the desk, but not what I would call a place to relax. There were also no common places to sit, like a lobby with a couch. The toilet tank was repaired with white duct tape, and the shower head fell out of it's socket and almost hit me on the head while I was showering. Due to the in-window a/c unit, it sounded like our window was just open and was loud all the time. We could hear the jazz performance word for word and note for note from our room....at least it was good music.

The location was great if you want to be close to easy public transport, museums, and night life.

The room was very small. TV was of very poor quality. Toiletries were poor as hair shampoo and bodywash were in the same dispenser. I had to ask for the hairdryer. I realize this is Toronto but I felt the room was overpriced.

Good location for my needs. The room was clean and had a small desk and chair. My room included a bathroom. The front desk staff were friendly and informative.

There was only one front desk staff who came across friendly and approachable during our stay, the others tend to be cold. But overall I have not much to complain about.

The only bad thing I can say is that the Wi-Fi is very poor and would often drop out altogether when I was spending my downtime in the room.

The staff were very friendly and the food and atmosphere was top-notch. The daily jazz show is a nice way to spend a few hours. The best part of the hotel is the location - on Queen Street West in the heart of Downtown Toronto. CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, the Rogers Centre, Nathan Philips Square, and the waterfront are all within walking distance and there's bus and tram stops as well as a subway station right on your doorstep. There's also a plethora of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, so you'll never be without somewhere to go for a bite to eat. This hotel is best suited to sole travelers or groups of two who just need somewhere to put their head down in between visiting attractions.

I messed up on Booking, I guess and ended up with a room without ensuite bathroom. My fault. But won't make that mistake again. The charge is, in my opinion, high considering if you wake up in the middle of the night needing to pee, you need to go across the hall. But perhaps the most unpleasant thing was that when I went to eat at the downstairs bar/resto (which has good food) despite there being maybe 20 minutes left in the music set, I was asked to pay $10 to get in. As a hotel guest. So I went instead to a local takeout and left work in the room for the cleaners with all the containers and wrappers. Not my idea of hospitality, and a silly policy when you're already paying $200 (or whatever) for no toilet or shower.

I am a repeat visitor. The location (I walk to Union and there is a nearby TTC stn), and the live music downstairs are why I choose to stay here. The breakfast is my favourite hotel breakfast.
