Valet service was helpful, but wished access to the vehicle was easier as we did leave some items in the car to avoid bringing everything to the room. Our trip started with a flight but we drove across the Maritimes and had extra items with us. Small issue with our amazing stay in Halifax

Enjoyed our stay and it was convenient for the places we wanted to see, as most were accessible by foot. Staff was very helpful.

The location was great. Could walk everywhere downtown and not worry about parking. The room was very comfortable and clean and had a lovely view of the water. Lots of attractions, restaurants, a theatre, the Citadel, and waterfront all nearby. Overall, it is a perfect place for a stay.

While the staff were very friendly they did not appear to be well acquainted with the Hotel and it's offerings. On the website the Sutton offers Valet parking to seniors as a free service which we did not realize until after we booked. When we asked about this at service when checking in the staff seemed unacquainted with this and we were told that they couldn't do anything about it because we had not originally booked as seniors. We were not booked under any other discounts or packages at the time. It is great to see that the Sutton offers a deal to seniors however it was disappointing when staff is not acquaint or empowered to accommodate any requests which are not on the screen in front of them. Lots of blank stares and apologies.

Service seemed a bit lacking. Staff saw me take the luggage trolley and never offered to help. That said, the young lady serving breakfast early in the morning was exemplary in her friendliness and helpfulness.

Not so much anything about the property itself but the steep incline going up and down to the waterfront you will feel the burn in your shins.

Location is Fantastic property and staff were all excellent 7th floor hot tub and rooftop patio was sweet!

Less noise from exterior air vents , lights in coffees cupboard didn’t work, Beth room doors were noisy to open, main door did close properly.

No real entrance off the street. It’s a little weird to always walk into the garage to go in the front door. But it’s no big deal, really.

Beautiful modern room. Nice, spacious room. Great bathroom with separate tub and shower, and closed off toilet. Room controls are cool. Nice view over the green hills of the citadel. Enjoyed spending three nights there. Located by lots of restaurants and close to sites—just a few blocks from wharf.

(Maybe I just didn't see it) But I would have loved if the room had a little one-pager with some info on the hotel. (Rules, hours of amenities, a menu, nearby recommendations, etc)

We loved the location, the ambiance, the amenities, and the staff. It was the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in. Modern Great Gatsby vibes!

Popular downton area which means traffic and paid parking.

Great value and spectacular amenities in a popular area that is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars. Easily walkable to the boardwalk. The superior queen is a two room suite with a huge bathroom. The toliet area has a privacy door with makes it more functional. The beds are super comfortable and the huge walk-in shower has a hand-held feature too which I appreciated. We hated to leave.

The bed , wasn’t that comfortable .

Ace location ! The rooms were large and clean. The WIFI was fabulous, did not experience being jumped off and having to log back in multiple times, I know this is ‘me thing’ , but the had adequate number of hangers for all my clothes :) the bar and restaurant were open till midnight.

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 6PM but we were offered a complimentary drink while we waited. Parking was valet only and $35 a day.

Location was perfect - walking distance to downtown. 8 minute walk to the waterfront. Room was much larger than expected and staff were helpful. They offer umbrellas to guests when it’s raining. Very clean, nice lobby/restaurant area.
