Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaI wanted my bill emailed to me and that didn’t happen. When I called to remind them, the phone was never answered. When I tried to email, I was sent to a booking site. I have not received the bill and will be forced to send a letter to the hotel to ask for it.

Hong KongFor a room that claims to be 25 sq.m., it was a bit crammed, perhaps due to large pieces of furniture such as the chest and the armchair, as well as the large air-con. Breakfast items were not always refilled so that those who were not early-risers may not get eggs or fruit or not even sufficient coffee. Staff were mostly cold, unfriendly, unhelpful, and some even arrogant, except for one Indian girl on the first night who was very helpful.
Location - close to town and eateries.

CanadaNo toilet paper in room. When I rang to front desk to get some no answer. Front entrance carpet needs replacing, ragged n dirty, littered items at front Fourier left by street people. I am in wheel chair and felt unsafe because of so many street people in front all the time. Electric door didn't work making it hard for disabled people to get in or out.

CanadaThere was no parking. Had to park on the street and have the car moved by 8am. There's no air-conditioning. I was very disappointed that none of that information was posted. The room itself was alright however the window had to be open to try and cool the room so was very noisy

CanadaFurniture very dated and room was very small and dark . Walls in need of painting, and carpets and upholstery very old and shabby. Price charged was definitely not value for money. Breakfast was presented in a brown paper bag. Consisted of a stale croissant, a fruit cup, a chocolate protein bar that was hard and unappetising, water and juice. There are much better options in Yellowknife in the same price range. I had a flight cancellation and this hotel was the only one I could find at the last minute, I can understand why.
Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

CanadaThe outside of the hotel is disgusting, too many drunks around, the concrete really needs to be pressure washed, it is gross. Garbage by the three exists is disgusting…someone needs to clean up daily. I told my husband, I may start staying elsewhere…. My sister stayed in another hotel, their outside is clean, no garbage around…I did not check out their room, but I used to stay in that hotel before. I am a very long time customer at Quality Inn, the name Quality Inn should match the outside of Inn, clean, but it does not… There is no TV guide or telephone book, yes we have our own smart phones, yet it would be really handy to have a telephone book. I cannot understand why no TV guide. I know we all have to be careful due to COVID-19, yet we can real coffee cups in our room, extra toilet paper, soap, etc…as we have to ask at front desk….also extra pillows in the drawer would be a bonus…like the comforts of home. Thank you for hearing me out.
The location is great, close to everywhere That meet my needs.

CanadaMost of it I dont like. The sink was not draining. All the drawers don’t close. We have to use a piece of tissue paper as a stopper. The room is good for 4 persons but their are only 2 sets of towels. 1 tiny lotion and 1 tiny soap. No parking as well. When I parked the car at the first row, the guard told me it’s for the employees. But then ,there was no reserved sign ang there was parking coin meter.

United StatesThe entire hotel was a dump in a war zone. It is in dire straits. Oddly, there was no furniture at all in the lobby. They said this was to avoid homeless people from using their lobby. It was a run-down facility in desparate need for a makeover. Do not stay here if you can avoid it. Amazingly, I called them for the airport shuttle and when it arrived it left before I could get on the shuttle. I booked this hotel primarily because of the shuttle and was amazed that they just left me as I was racing after them to get on the bus. After complaining to the staff, they refused to resend another shuttle but told me that they would pay for a taxi service from the airport. Oi vay!
The best thing about this hotel was the front desk staff Tristan and the downtown location of the property. The price was far less than the other hotels but it becomes very apparent why that is the case once the security staff comes on and it seems to be a war-zone. The breakfast was passable and the breakfast staff was friendly.
