The bed was not so comfy, the view was not as great as I expected.

The hotel itself is older and I was expecting a little bit more from the room but other than that, I loved the vibe of the place. The ghost town right next to the hotel was worth the visit as well. Would go back.

The cleanliness of the room could have been better, the bathroom floor was very dusty.

Loved the view and the fact that they had their own separate toaster for gluten free bread.

Great view and the Ghost town right beside was a good entertainment. Just basic amenities are provided but you could expect that with the cost. It is beautiful antique venue that is well maintained and clean.

Nestled between a major highway and a major train line, it's not exactly bathing in nature, but it's fine. The hotel seems tired, but that is sort of the appeal, to be honest. TV reception is dreadful, bring a book.

Totally bizarre hotel. If you're into quirky, this is the place for you. View is great. The historic "ghost town (it's not)" is kind of fun. And there's so much to explore there, that can take up much of a day.

No negatives. However transportation is a necessity if you want to visit the lovely town of Revelstoke, it is only a 10 to 15 min drive. Be aware that the hotel is in a narrow valley with a highway beside the property.

The view of the garden and the lake is great. Kayak's are available at a small rate. The ghost town is a must see and if you stay at the hotel it is half price.

    Nothing.

Very friendly staff who also helped us with ordering an oil change in the car. The price completely corresponds to the quality of the accommodation. There is a ghost town exposition near the hotel which is very nice. Possibility of buying small gifts. A pleasant evening spent. I recommend.

We did book the cheapest rooms (which were still pretty expensive ~ $240) so I really wasn't expecting much but there was no A/C, no TV and no WiFi. The temperature that day was 37°C, so it was very hot at night. They do provide a fan but it didn't help cool it off at all. No TV and WiFi would normally not bother me, but it was the last leg of a very long trip and we just wanted to relax in the room (plus it was too hot and smoky to do anything else). We did check out the pool and hot tub as well, again decent but dated and less clean than I would like. The pool and paper towel or something floating around in it. All in all, I probably wouldn't stay again, unless upgrades are done, but we would visit the grounds/ghost town area.

The exterior and common areas are beautiful, although a little dated but that's the charm. It's a very gorgeous historic property and the grounds are amazing to walk through. We loved having a view of the gardens and the emerald green lake from our balcony. Also check in was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful

I was not informed at the point of booking that there is no air-conditioning at this hotel. The toiletries provided were insufficient. The outdoor garden doesn't look as green and well kept as on the website. Definitely didn't meet my expectations.

No air conditioning, and no in room wifi (which we knew beforehand), but we weren’t expecting 30+C heat and to have car trouble, which necessitated both of those. The hotel desperately needs some renovations and updating. Beds were not the most comfortable. Ice machine broken

Convenient location next to the highway and close to the enchanted forest. Kids had fun in the pool, but it’s quite deep throughout. The lake is very shallow but then drops off suddenly. Not appropriate for kids to play in, Rocky.

Older rooms, shabby bedding, no air con

We've been before so knew the rooms were outdated but the one we had this time seemed even older / more run down. However location and amenities make up for it with us. They also had room ready for us a couple of hours earlier than expected.
