Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBreakfast was very poor and also in the room there was no space to stay, Lots of people grab something to eat in their room. Also, the breakfast was served very early and for a few time, compared by usual, and all the people was there in the same time and the little room was completely stuck.
The position is good to moving in Toronto City by walk, just 20mins by feet far from city center. The room was big and very confortable, with a nice view on the Toronto skyline.

PortugalThe space for the breakfast was very small, although you could that it to the room, which was good. Additionally, and there wasn’t a healthy variety of food for breakfast - mostly included croissant and muffins, butter and jam. Selection of fruit was also small.
The room was very spacious and the living room and kitchen space had all the utilities needed

CanadaThe breakfast room is too small for the number of guests in the Inn. This is our only complaint.
The staff were very helpful and responded to requests quickly and helpfully. Our 1st suite was worn-looking and had problems with the stove, the plumbing, and the coffee machine. After a gentle complaint, we were moved to a wonderful suite that was newly renovated and very comfortable.

CanadaThe sound proofing could be a bit better, we could hear construction early Saturday morning and the sounds of doors opening and closing in the hallway. It's subjective, but the pillows were too soft for my liking. Furnishings generally feel a little cheap, but I suppose this is the time we live in!
The hotel is in a very convenient location for us. The room was quite spacious. I like that there is a kitchen included, though we didn't actually use it apart from the refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable.

New ZealandThe property is currently going through renovations, so the room I stayed in was quite dated - I imagine that this will obviously solve itself as the renovations continue. Nonetheless, it wouldn’t deter me from staying again. Also, as some other reviews have said, the balcony was inaccessible which was a bit of a shame.
Close to the Bloor-Yonge subway station, which was so useful to get around downtown. Staff were really friendly and helpful when I had any queries. They also stored my bag for me when I had to spend time waiting for my flight after I’d checked out.

GermanyThe balcony was there, but locked and so were the windows. The dinner table was shaking like a tree ) I must admit, the building is old. This rarely bother me, but maybe important to know for the people who will read the review.
Actually, for this money and given a short period of booking before my trip, it was certainly a value. I like the spacious apartment I got a lot! The location was really cool.

FinlandBreakfast - that must be some North American thing. Clearly not up to scratch compared to international standards. The breakfast times are ludicrous for holidaying guests (closes at 09:00!). Only coffee/tea, fruit, jogurt and croissants are available. Seems like a joke not wortht he money or time. Also: everything is throw-away. This means that spoons and knives are single use plastic! Are we still in the 1980s? The knives also had sharp corners at the handle. Furthermore, for a hotel this size, the breakfast room was a joke - sitting no more than 18 people at a time.
Really excellent staff, large comfortable rooms, superb bed and our own kitchen (though we had no use for that). The aircon was easily controlled manually and really effective. Would have liked to have access to the balcony too.
