The location was close to grocery stores & other services in Hastings or Norwood. The cottage was located on the canal with all the amenties as listed in the ads.

We were expecting, bath soaps, shampoo and towels. Luckily we had our own stuff and we were provided with 2 towels by the kind hosts. The cottage can have some upgrades which will make it look better and be more value for money.

Location is excellent and particularly our cottage location was closest to river. I would come back and stay here if I can.

The location was great. Close to the town. The cottage that I stayed in was very clean and had all the amenities that I needed. Not many people when I went which was a good thing. Was able to unwind and relax.

Curtains on all the windows to block the morning sun I think is a must(I made my own out of the sheets and blankets) Maybe a radio or clock radio would be nice.

We are always happy when we come to Trent River Cottages .. It is always welcoming here and always clean .. Great place to rent boats with new motors so you feel safe when your out in the water with love ones .. I give it a 10 out of 10 .. thank you Dave and his Wife for a great weekend.. I upgraded my booking for a more comfortable stay but when we arrived at the place they still put us in the lowest rate room which is the bunkie that doesn't have its own washroom. They only have a portalet outside and the shower outside doesn't even have a lock.

We were not told they do not supply bedding or towels.The pillows were much to be desired .The cottage was old and uncomfortable. There for a wedding in the area and was very disappointed .

the sticker left on the window did not serve as a curtain when dressing or undressing,no kleenex/ paper towel, no digitel clock. radio, not even a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge,no mirror , no last years calender even, no sink even, and to go on a midnight stroll to use the bathroom, i guess i could have brought my own flash, the plywood under the matress squeeks every time you move(close to the door) because its loose,you could have one of those tiny night lights in there so a person spending their first night there dosen;t get lost and don;t forget the mouse trap, good thing my wife stayed to look after her mother! I guess i;ve said enough, i did like the fact that all the cottages where painted a diff color.

To start there where No curtains so anybody can look into your bunker, as a women that makes me feel unsafe. To add to the lack of saftey you can't lock your doors when you're away from the bunker, you can only lock it from the inside, so if you leave your belongings, they will be unattended and not safe. Our bunker was located right beside the shared bathroom (which is actually an unkempt johnny on the spot) which we could smell from our bunker. The bed sheets had stains and hair on it and was clearly not washed. Floor was not clean and the room was clearly not maintained. When i approached the staff about the issues he got defensive and rude. We wanted to cancel and drive over an hour back home. But the cancelation fee was 125CAD which is only 50 less than the room. So we ended up staying. Using blankets as curtains. I would not recommend this place to anybody at all.

The cabin we stayed in was clean and had everything you need for cooking. Even our own BBQ. Kids enjoyed swimming and campfire at night. Bedrooms had fans to help cool down, when it got too hot.

Basic, somewhat outdated accomodation

We stayed in cottage 11. Basic, somewhat outdated accomodation, but the cottage was clean and had all that is nessary - stove, fridge, microwave, kitchenware, TV, barbecue, patio overlooking beach. Bedrooms are quite small. The river current is pretty strong, should ne carefull when swimming.
