How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Michelle and her husband were incredible hosts. They were kind, helpful and friendly. Our suite was welcoming, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. It was spacious with 2 queen sized beds. The mini fridge had food and drink items to get us started. Great NL coffee and a coffee machine were also in our room, and Michelle left beautifully wrapped homemade treats by our door each morning to be enjoyed while sitting on the sheltered deck off our suite overlooking the quiet backyard. There were plenty of towels and extra toiletries in the private bathroom. Everything had been thought of and selected for the comfort of their guests. I highly recommend staying here.

Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. The room and ensuite bathroom were beautiful and spacious, and we enjoyed the covered balcony overlooking the forest. The fridge in the room was well stocked with orange juice , yogurt, and fruit, the coffee was excellent, and Michelle made us delicious muffins the first day, and zucchini bread for the second morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Trinity Guest House!

This Guest House is not a B&B so breakfast was not included. However, we did get a small loaf of wonderful lemon cake at our door the next morning. The room is immaculate and the bathroom is more than reasonable. The room size is adequate for a one or two night stay. The house is a very short drive out of Trinity.

I was armed with maps and had pre booked dinner . Some people would probably like a bit more interaction and advice from owners but that’s down to each person whose booking . I would go back but would not recommend driving back to house after dark . Roads are narrow and signage is lacking in the area .
No breakfast on site . Muffins were provided as well as coffee and cream in the room . Stairs are noisy but owners go to bed early . Bathroom very nice. Good size tub . Bed was very comfortable It’s a little ways out but worth the journey .

The room is part of a private house. Downstairs there are guests and upstairs lives the family that owns the property. The insulation is not enough. We heard phone calls, conversations, someone playing.. television and more.. We were even accused by other guests of making noise and disturbing their rest. We watched TV at a really low volume.. and yet.. really unpleasant. There is no place to put personal belongings in the bathroom. We put in a chair from the outside (we assumed it was fine because it is resistant to moisture and humidity), to put the clothes on. The next day we received a reprimand from the owner of the property that we put in a chair that could scratch the floor.. and she put another chair. My mother pulled a bath towel from the towel rack. The hanger fell off. This is of course done unintentionally. I was with her and saw how it happened. The next day we got a reprimand from the landlady for tearing the towel rack. And if they have to bring in a professional, we will have to pay for the repair. We are supposed to have breakfast in the room. There is no room in the room. There is not even a small table.. although there is room. You have to sit on the balcony. The problem is that it rained. We moved the table to the side. My father also moved the chairs so they wouldn't get wet from the rain. We received a reprimand from the property owner for moving the table and chairs without permission. Regarding the meal: put 3 yogurts, 3 pieces of packaged cheese, 3 bottles of juice and a little milk in the fridge. Also put aside 3 glasses, 3 plates and 3 sum. Coffee and tea. In Bokek you get fresh pastry. On the second day, they didn't bother to refill the ingredients, they just put down the dishes and of course the pastry.. On Tuesday we were in the room. That's why they didn't go in to clean and bring food. In the evening I had to ask them to bring it. If we are in the room, you can knock and ask if everything is fine...
The house is just beautiful. Designed with attention to the smallest details. The room we booked was very spacious. A large balcony.

The walls are paper thin and could hear everything including the second floor. No B&B breakfast , a continental breakfast, not what we expected. Simple

The property is beautiful and so convenient to the little town of Trinity. The rooms are decorated exceptionally well, and spotless. The home baking is delicious. The hosts are so friendly and helpful.
