People were loud and screaming in the corridors, maybe a notice to be mindful of others would be helpful. No hot water in the shower :(

Room was a little small - a little more privacy for sitting outside the room would be nice too.

The location was lovely, out of the way - which is what we were looking for. The lake the lodge is located on is lovely and swimmable. The staff were very kind and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced - nice to have a restaurant on the spot as the town is a little bit of a hike. Overall - it was a great little getaway.

The fact that there were dogs roaming around the property some of them were big.!! Always off leash no owner around... and when they're bigger than your 3-year-old not cool... also keep begging for food and trying to jump up onto the picnic table.. really annoying 🤬 for that reason I probably wouldn't return!!

The lake is nice the water was warm.. kids loved it.

The rooms were old but renovated but a little damp and musty. A/C was loud but worked well.

We liked the location by the lake and the fact that the lodge had other services such as the pub (food was excellent) and barber (great haircut).

I think I addressed in box above. I see your updating ac heat with upper models which will be good to allow blinds to close fully. Prevent any peepers from looking in

Room was good. No staff as you’s were gone to a wedding which is understandable. Therefor no restaurant or anyone to call upon. Nothing was an emergency to contact and stress staff while you’s were away. Not all plug ins worked which was a bit of a challenge. We stayed in room 5 which did not have any hot water. Had one Luke warm shower in early am otherwise I went and showered I. A friends room. Loved the wrapped around deck upstairs and enjoyed visiting with friends over coffee.

Noisy guests inside and outside (camping). Spotty wi-fi. The power outlets were very loose and some didn't work. Small TV in bedroom. Room door would jam when trying to close it.

Unfortunately the building is so outdated and dingy. Linens are in bad need of replacement and we had little to no hot water for showers daily. Carpets should be torn up and replaced as well.

The restaurant/bar staff were incredible. Very friendly and great at engaging in conversation with customers. And so welcoming to our pup. The location of the property is beautiful.

The property stinks of mold on the ground floor. The stairs are noisy and there's a procession of people coming at night time from the nearby tents to use the washrooms in the hotel. The room is the tiniest I've ever been. There is no closet (there's a fridge right where the closet should be and therefore I had to hang my suits on the shower rod as there was no other option), no drawers excluding one little drawer in the only night stand provided, no room to leave the baggage. The door of the washroom is broken (the door itself, not the handle) and it couldn't close, I guess too much humidity caused it to break. No reliable hot water - or actually no hot water at all available when I needed it. No breakfast available. The pictures of the room on the website do not correspond to the actual room I've stayed, not even close. The room is advertised as "Queen room" but the bed is barely a full bed. The mattress box is so noisy I couldn't close my eyes for a whole night. No elevator. No curtains on the 2 windows - only blinds - made me feel as little to zero privacy, with people walking around the balcony at all times. Big stain of rust in the bathtub. Toilet paper is the cheapest on the market. Extreme noise from the people downstairs of the snowmobiles party. I'd never be back there, I'd rather sleep in the car. Front desk not available 24/7. Zero housekeeping during the 3 days of my stay. Nobody around to ask for fresh towels.

The pub on site has nice food, however I could enjoy it only the first day, as it was always closed the other days when I came back to the hotel. The location is nice there's a little beach on the lakeside. The balcony is nice. Coffee machine downstairs in the lobby was a life safer. No issue with parking or wi-fi. Lady at the front desk was friendly and they let me check-in very early, which I totally appreciated. A/C functioned well. Fairly large sized mirror in the room helped when I was dressing up.

We left early the Sunday morning after 1 night (of a 2 night stay) due to issues and disappointment with the facility. I would like a refund from Booking .com for the 1 night we did not use. The had a large noisy, diesel powered multi-wheeled all terrain vehicle that drove through the marsh, lake directly in front of the glamping tents twice an hour all day, until 8PM disrupting any piece and quiet. This vehicle also kicked up the rotten odour smell of the marsh twice an hour. This was not mentioned on their website nor on the Booking .com website. The stairway to get up on the raised wooden glamping tent platform did not have a safe and proper railing to allow you to safely climb the stairs, only a rough hewn short board nailed to a tree that did not reach to the top of the stairs and to the platform level and was dangerous to any one with even any slight mobility issues. The information for the glamping tents stated they had a smart TV and WIFI. Neither was available for the glamping tents. Nor was a microwave available in the main facility for the use of clients. They had only a smelly plastic johnny on the spot facility for washroom use at the glamping tents location. No water was available for the glamping tent location, No firewood was included for a first fire for the glamping experience. Any firewood had to be purchased separately.

The bed was comfortable and the tent was very nice. The location of the glamping tent to the lake was very nice. Very nice view.

Room was dirty with spider nets in some places. Microwave was smelly and we had to clean it in order to use it. We couldn't close the bathroom door, sink and faucet were shaky. Blinds on the door's window were broken and not cleaned for very long time. The whole place is shabby. The room we got is next to public shower, smells with chlorine. Young people using the shower were quite loud even after 11 pm. To say that we felt unsafe maybe is too much but we definitely were uncomfortable. There was only coffee in the room and when we asked about the tea the answer was that tea is not provided for room 14. At this point I didn't even care to ask why. I'm not planning to go there again.

Room was big and beds were quite comfy. At check in, the girl at the reception was helpful. Guests whom we met there were nice and friendly.

Can't say 1 bad thing about Stoco Lake lodge. It was a dream getaway. They have raised the bar.

Honestly, this was even better than we hoped for. The rooms we clean and upgraded. Beds were very comfortable. A/c in each room kept us chilly which was a blessing in the heat. The motel grounds was clean and everything was accessible. They even had a chest near the beach area with life jackets for everyone to use. The beach was cleared of seaweed every morning. Water was ridiculously perfect. Campfire right outside our rooms. The staff, (front desk, General Manager, Owner, restaurant), everyone was sweet and kind and helpful. The owner used his own truck to help our friend put in his jetski and pull it back out. The restaurant food was great and afordable. I will rave about this place until we go back...and we will be going back. Group of 13 which included 3 five year olds. No one wanted to leave.

Spent nearly 800 dollars for 4 days in the king suite and there was absolutely no air conditioning, no screens in the windows and the windows were broken. I had trouble sleeping because it was so hot. It was really run down. Could have spent that kind of money to go to Cuba for a few days. Don’t waste your money, the motel on the other side of the lake is your best bet.

Almost every aspect of our stay was bad (not just poor) except for the pub dinner which was ok. The bed had thin sheets and 1 lightweight blanket. The door to the balcony allowed cold into the room. The heater was off. The small fan heater supplied only stirred the cold air around. Ambient temperature inside the room was same as outside - i.e. -3C all night. We slept with our coats on top. I've been warmer camping in a snow cave. The fan in the toilet was so noisy it sounded like a helicopter trying to take off. No extra blankets, pillows, glasses, cups, clock but oh yes there was a flatscreen TV with Netflix. One uncomfortable chair one smelly armchair. The whole room stank as if a group of dogs had slept there all winter. We ate in the pub before going to our room and by then there was no one around to fix this situation. One kitchen staff did bring us some glasses and cups and a coffee maker. But no coffee, just creamer and sugar. She was thoughtful but clueless. Absolutely nothing to say to recommend this place as an early season get-away for a weekend. Tawdry, worn-out and forgettable. We only stayed because we had nowhere else to go except back home and we left as soon as possible next day.

What did we like? Our own breakfast which, luckily, we had packed, just in case of emergency. There was no provision for breakfast except a coffee dispenser in the lobby with coffee pods and powdered creamer. Shortage of staff supposedly. Nothing in the room to drink even a glass of water. Had to request these.
