How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There were no English TV channels and the washing machines required the a certain card to operate, which we did not have.
The room was clean and well equipped with all necessary cooking utensils, a work and an eating table. The location was close to the grocery store and at the same time within walking distance to bus, train and Quebec sights. It was a quiet street yet centrally located.

Everything perfect for our weekend stay.
Feb 2024 stay, Location walking to winteractivities excellent and major sites excellent with upward walk , cleanliness, instructions to get in clear, size of residence perfect for the two, used parking nearby with discount. Well equipped. Did I mention cleanliness:)

Everything about this place was just perfect. The place was clean and the space was pretty. The bed was comfortable and the apartment had comfortable vibes. The location was perfect in a quiet street. The building was quite secure. The bonus was the coffee pods available in the room! Shout-out to Michel and Marie-Eve! They were great with their timely updates and reminders.

Bed is pretty small and not the most comfortable. Pillows also small.

The location was great--relatively short (if very uphill) walks to Old Quebec City as well as other neighborhoods. The room was spacious, the whole setup very professional.

Location could have been closer but all in all we were pleased with our stay
The staff was very friendly. We didn't realize that it was on a university campus. We had hoped to be closer to the old town but it worked out.

Very comfy room with a sufficiently equipped kitchen. Lots of cabinet spaces to hang your clothes. The toilet was large and provided alot of towels. Location wise - 15min walk from VIA Rail station and 2min walk from the bus stops.

That in case towels were stained with make up we have to pay a charge

Owners were responsive and understanding of our needs, we were checking in earlier but they were able to let us store our luggage in the same facility (for a very low price). Plenty of information shared for the entire experience. The facility is well maintained and all pics and descriptions matched with what we experienced. We will definitely consider this place for a next time!

You need to climb the hill if you want to visit old city. The room looks a bit old.
The staff is very nice and friendly. You will find everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. Clean, Quiet and comfortable room. Wifi is fast and stable. Good value for the price.

The air conditioning rattled quite a bit and despite it the room felt a bit damp. This was more than bearable. However, as we never saw a living person from the personelle, if we had an issue, we would not have anyone to report it to.
The beds were soft and nicely made, we slept very well despite health issues. The amenities were nice, we could cook for ourselves, enjoy a movie, recycle properly, walk to all sights and had all the privacy we could wish for.

The neighbourhood- my wife and kids were scared to get out of the premises!
