How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing, although some people might be a bit uncomfortable with the number of homeless in the area, especially in the late evening.
The comfort and value were excellent. I also appreciated the high level of communication regarding our stay.

Absolutely no complaints.
We have stayed here twice before and have always been pleased with our stay. There is a bus to the Gare Fluviale within 200 metres of the residence that gets you to the lower city, close to Petit Champlain. Nearby there are very good restaurants (I recommend Phoenix for exceptional food, and London Jack for entertainment and atmosphere). Close to the restaurants there is the largest church in Quebec - St Roch CTHOLIC CHURCH. A short walk brings you to the 800, 801 and other buses that will take you to Porte St Jean. From there stroll along rue St Jean to get to Chateau Frontenac, seeing important sights along the way. Parking is excellent with a large indoor parking station just opposite the residence. You can get discount vouchers from the reception. Apartments are spacious, well-equipped and clean. Reception team was very friendly and helpful.

Everything was fantastic. The location was excellent for walking to Chateau Frontenac and surrounding area. We found a couple of nice bar/restaurants just down the street. The grocery store was also very close as well as one of the pickup spots for the Hop on Hop off tour bus. The Residence also supplied us with parking coupons which covered our parking for the 6 nights of our stay. Laundry facilities were also available and very reasonable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Close to almost everything. If you need to go to the convention center every day, be aware you will walk up a steep hill a lot... (but this keeps you fit ;))

Office was closed for the whole weekend so we only met staff at check in. Maid service was not provided and the floor didn't feel clean.
Room was cozy, everything was provided, staff in the office was sweet and helpful

The check out time 10:30 am wasn't reasonale and we couldn't entrust our bagages to reception , there wasn't any reception there.

This hotel exceeds my expectations. The facility in the room is sufficient and well cleaned. All the staff is polite and willing to help. Also, there are lots of restaurants and stores around the hotel. I would recommend this hotel!

The refrigerator was a little loud. A portable air conditioner, which was thoughtfully installed on a hot day, was too loud to keep running for more than about 15 minutes. Still, It was enough to cool the room.
Excellent studio apartment in a university building. The bed was very, very comfortable - soft top mattress with a firm base - and the studio was well appointed with linens, towels and kitchenware. The location was excellent: 5-10 minutes walk from a full supermarket, 15 minutes walk from Old Quebec City. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Quiet, but not too far to walk to areas of interest; near St Roch (exciting restos and pubs/brasseries); simple kitchen so we could cook sometimes; good AC and comfy bed!

The room rate displayed in the room was $ 105.00 per 2 guests for 1 night as it was when I booked. I was charged $ 129.00 per night. Also I was entitled to 10% Genius level discount as they use booking.com and did not receive it. The TV remote was not working.
Location is good from Gare Palais Stn ... To Saint Jean Street about a 25 minute walk . I did not need parking.

As a woman, the neighborhood can seem a little shady. It did not bother me as I have lived in large cities, including Paris and Chicago, but I could feel my mother tense up a little on our evening walk
Has everything you need, all you need to do and walk in and relax after a long day. The bed is super comfy, there is no noise coming from the street, I think I slept 8.5 hours straight which is excellent for me!
