According to online ads there is breakfast included, but there was no breakfast. According to the staff member it is only in the busy season (summer) that they have breakfast. This was deceiving as the dining room was set with dishes and a breakfast menu. There was a Keurig so myself and a few other guests were able to make black coffee/tea but that was it. Additionally, my pillow smelled very strongly of Axe body spray, which makes me uncertain if the pillow case was changed before I arrived.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clearly recently renovated. The location was great. We were able to walk to all of the spots we wanted to visit, including the farmers market, and restaurants/bars.

The inn had a for sale sign in front of the building when we arrived, no other cars in the parking lot other than the owner. Did not feel comfortable at the inn, we decided to not stay the night.

The heating system in one room didn't work. The couple who stayed there were very cold that evening. I believe the room # was 12 There should have been a reduced rate because of this situation

Some of upgrades in washrooms not good quality or suited to the era/decor. Breakfast skimpy and not special at all with mold tasting watermelon… as a result….did not have our second day breakfast . Despite calling for help could not get DVD player working.

The floors in our room (bedroom and bathroom) should have been dusted and also washed. The dust was very evident on the furniture and dust floated up when I picked up a dish on the desk. The Inn outside has been neglected with overgrown weeds and the lawn has not been mowed, paint is also peeling off the Inn. Inside the Inn should be dusted and washed down completely and a coat of paint on the windows would clean it up also.

The Manager greeted us politely and was friendly.

usually do not leave bad reviews but this warranted it. My 75 year old Dad had to sleep on the floor. Accidentally booked a single bed and the young guy working there offered us no help! No cot, no mat, not even an extra blanket. He just stared at us blankly and said our only option was another single room for 200 dollars. No WiFi, we even tried to watch a DVD, but it didn’t work either. For the money....very poor service. I have run an Airbnb and would never treat a client like that. It felt like a bnb that was bought and it just a money maker for someone, no love.

The house itself could be beautiful. However, the cleanliness was horrible. I normally would not comment on cleanliness, but this was beyond anything I had ever seen and left me very upset that I paid so much for the room. We had two rooms, one in the back carriage house and one in the main house. The one in the back did not look like it was ever cleaned. We dropped a toy on the floor and when I bent down to pick it up you could see massive amounts of dirt under the beds on the hardwood. The beds themselves did not look like they had been washed in weeks. One of our rooms had a shower curtain that legitimately had mould on it and the shower and toilet had not been cleaned out. The gardens had not been tended all year, and it looked like they piled garbage and broken furniture on the back deck of the main house. I would never ever stay here again until I had a guarantee that it was completely cleaned and renovated.

The location was wonderful, close to town yet quiet. You could tell the staff was really trying and they were very lovely. However, I think they are just not able to keep up the work needed for this building.

It was overprice for what it looked like.There was no WiFi..the place looks rundown and unkept.. lots of things are broken or need repaired..locks on doors etc. Gardens in poor condition. It almost looked abandoned from the road. Would not stay there again

I was traveling by bicycle and there was no place to keep my bike inside, this was the only place this happened to me on a very long trip. The breakfast was very late, scheduled for 8:30 but no one was served until almost 9:00, ridiculous if you are traveling by bicycle or for many other situations I imagine. I would not recommend this place at all for anyone traveling by bicycle.

The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast food was good. There was bottled water and a Keurig machine available most of the day.

The room in the out building was more akin to grandma’s old decrepit house. It really needs a thorough cleaning and some renovation to be up to par.

The community was quaint and close to the main historic street. Breakfast was included.

The whole place needs a deep clean! Dust and grime in the public areas as well as the rooms. It appears the new owners are not caring for the place in the way in which the previous owners did.

Parking lot poorly lit for night arrival. Grounds need tending. Needs mowing. Room was dated and dirty. Surfaces were greasy and dusty. Pulled out bed to find a plug and saw 6 inches of dustballs. Room next to us sat outside late talking. Stayed here years ago and it was much nicer in all facets.

First time ever so probably bound to happen - my wife checked the bed upon arrival and found a blood stain and lipstick on the pillow case. Pillows, linens quite dated as was shower curtain. Perhaps new owners have updating to do first but cleanliness is essential. She called and received new sheets etc but damage was done.
