How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

First time ever so probably bound to happen - my wife checked the bed upon arrival and found a blood stain and lipstick on the pillow case. Pillows, linens quite dated as was shower curtain. Perhaps new owners have updating to do first but cleanliness is essential. She called and received new sheets etc but damage was done.
Good location, nice staff but few present. Nice room size.

neat historic building
very neat from a historic perspective but pretty expensive. Property is unfortunately not being kept up which is very sad. The breakfast is only from 8:30-10:00 so we didn’t have it. The sheets on the bed were very stained and the carpets are quite filthy; desperately need a clean or be replaced. The house is need of alot of TLC and repairs..could be fantastic with some care

Only complaint is that wifi had trouble reaching the top (3rd) floor room we were in . I think the fhireplace’s chiimney may block it. Plus ceilings are high, so the 3rd floor is very high up. Wifi was completely reliable in the lounge and dining area. I was very happy to find out that a good basic breakfast is included. - toast, scrambled eggs, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, coffee, tea with milk and non-dairy options, orange juice. Very friendly and accommodating staff

The air conditioning in the room was very loud and the toilet seat was extremely loose. Some of the curtains were rather dirty in the breakfast area. They also kept changing the breakfast time to a later time as no one was at the front desk when we went down at 8:30.
The breakfast was reasonable and cooked good but limited in choice. They forgot the sausage that I asked for. The location is very good. The shower in the room was beautiful.

Looks like it needs a bit updating and repair in places but understand given Covid. Would not deter us from going again.
Room was clean, cozy and beds were very comfortable.

The property needs a refresh. The gardens and grounds are in need of a good cleaning and pruning. The lawns desperately need to be mowed. For the cost of one night the property is not being kept up properly and not what you would expect for the price. Bathrooms need a complete refresh. I noticed there was upgrading being done on decks and stairs which is good.
The location is good. Short walk to restaurants. The staff were as helpful as they could be. Not very well versed on the area. Breakfast was good.

The grounds were not mowed or weeded.
Breakfast choices were good. Service was efficient and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor space was available and location was in walking distance to cafes & pubs.

The check in could've been faster. When we arrived the facility manager wasn't even aware of our reservation. The room was not made and therefore we had to wait standing at the bottom of the stairs with our bags till the room was made. The room was on the 3rd level but there were no elevators and therefore we a little challenging to carry our bags up the stairs.
The room was beautiful with a fire place.

No front desk which was a bit confusing. Was not provided with any written information such as WiFi password, what amenities were available at the inn and where to find them.
Excellent location - close to all amenities in Wolfville. The breakfast was very good. Very accommodating with respect to parking - allowed us to park at on their premises before we checked in so we could go on a wine tour.

Landscaping was terrible,weeds everywhere, very neglected. Pictures on website did not match what room really looked like. Room dirty, tired looking very outdated. Phone did not work, bed lumpy. Little hospitality upon arrival. Advertised as Bed & Breakfast but you need to pay extra for breakfast!! A historic inn in name only. False advertising at its worst. Says 5 star rating but it's closer to 2 star(that's being generous). Don't book!!! Absolute disappointment and very disheartening...
