We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

CanadaTheir two restaurants, La Muse and Le Bistro Heron, are excellent, the former with very haute cuisine, the latter with a more approachable but delicious dishes. Service was a somewhat slow, but I think this is due to shortage of staff during COVID. And frankly, the extra time gave us more time to look at the roaring waterfall and the fall canvas of beautifully radiant leaves.
The Wakefield Mill is a well-preserved historic inn in a spectacular and peaceful location, nestled on the falls of a small river, surrounded by beautiful federal parkland and close to small, historic village along a river leading to Ottawa. Very serene, calm and restful, the Mill also has excellent spa facilities and two excellent restaurants, overlooking the falls which are lit up at night. Highly recommend for travellers who want a peaceful getaway in a beautiful and historic location, only 40 minutes by car from Ottawa.

CanadaWe had 8 rooms booked. Some were very small. All had VERY noisy air conditioning units which made it impossible to sleep if we left them on. The breakfast is very poor for the price $25. Location is excellent and staff were very friendly. No luggage cart available.

CanadaThe property was very good. Parking was a problem for us as every space, it seems, was occupied. Ate dinner at the Heron restaurant. Our waitress was most accommodating but the menu was very disappointing. Quite unsure what your chef is trying to do! Very strange food combinations, to say the least. Green beans as garnish on dessert? Strange combo of mashed potato and spinach in spanakopita pastry?? Not our fav for sure but very limited choices for entrees.
Most everything met our expectations. A very relaxing place to visit ….. especially now when the autumn leaves are so spectacular

CanadaThe door on the bathroom in our room wouldn’t close - you had to slam it shut. And there was no hook on the door to hang your robe. It would have been nice to have a safe and fridge in the room. But these are minor concerns.
Fabulous location and property. The restaurant (La Muse) is incredible. One of the best meals I’ve had in Canada. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub and pool, and visited the nearby Le Nordik. The bed was comfy and the room was nice, although we were on the 4th floor so not much of a view. Definitely will visit again.

IndiaA little expensive for one night stay. Sauna was out of order.
Staff was accommodating and used text to communicate with me on the day of. Was able to receive an early check-in. Room was great! Nespresso coffee in the room. Loved the location and the hottubs.

CanadaStaff were not hospitable. I am used to being greeted and welcomed when I check in, asked if I need assistance with baggage, advised of the location of the dining areas and amenities and an offer for recommendations to see things in the area etc. At checkout I am used to being asked if I enjoyed my stay and again offered assistance etc. This was not the case. Service in the restaurants was equally mediocre. No fridge or coffee maker in our room (and no one told us that there was complimentary coffee in the bistro).
