Too many stairs and lack of wifi

Odour of smoke in room - ? from fireplace, as it is apparently a non smoking property. Several little things need fixing - overhead light, bathroom light ( both fixed on request), one bedside lamp had broken switch, no stopper in bathroom sink ( there was one on check in but lever was broken, so once closed, could not be opened - it took 2 texts and 2 phone calls to finally have it fixed). Some wall plugs not working. Zero facilities on site - this is 4 rooms above a restaurant, up 1 or 2 flights of stairs. Housekeeping is provided by staff from sister property, The Windsor Hotel, up the road. No parking on site but there was a free 24h lot close by - we parked there but were unsure if we could get ticketed for serial 24h stays.

Location was great, room was spacious, bright and clean. Bathroom clean with good shower. Basic kitchenette was perfect for our needs - 4x plates/cups/glasses/cutlery with small kettle, microwave and fridge Carpets and furnishings looked fairly new and were clean. Our room, #3, overlooked market square, which was lovely and was quiet at night. Location was excellent, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, theatre, river.

Check in time was 3 pm and I didn't get the text for the door code till after 4 pm. Don't like you can't control the temperature yourself in room. TV channels are VERY limited, expensive to stay there considering there is ZERO amenities and parking is 2 streets over.

Location was great, room clean and comfortable,very cozy feel.

- no one came in to replace the coffee and cups during our 2 night stay so we didn't have coffee the second day -no creamer for the coffee -broken treadmill left in the room -bathroom door didn't close properly -tv only got very limited channels ( maybe 3) rest all came up saying we did not have access -air conditioner made a knocking noise all night while running

There was a hole in the sheets, the AC was too cold, there was coffee but no creamer, sugar or tea. Paper cups only. We paid $225+ for one night! Not good value.

The property was convenient to the Festival Theatre. But two long flights up.

There was no desk / table nor any chair(s) in the room when we came, which was awkward since we had the kitchenette ... A chair and coffee table were soon added in response to our request.

We moved up the stairs to our junior suite and then parked our car at a municipal lot. We walked to the theatres and restaurants during our stay. The room with its high ceilings and new bathroom was comfortable.

The room was perfect with one minor flaw. The bed was small. The room certainly could have afforded a king bed.

Saturday night was a bit noisy

The management was helpful and accommodating. There was a glitch in the arrangement and it was dealt with promptly and with grace. We loved having the kitchenette since being frugal vegetarians it doesn't work to have all meals in restaurants (though there is a gourmet vegetarian restaurant a block away). We enjoyed being a block from the Avon Theatre and in the midst of historic Stratford.

The code door lock jammed and we had to be given a physical key to access the room. The listing boasts a kitchenette but there are zero amenities to go with it. No plates, cups, cutlery or anything to cook with. No wine glasses provided despite the listing and calls to management (we had to go out and buy our own). The dining table was broken and couldn't support any weight. The carpet was dirty with crumbs. No hooks or railings for towels in the bathroom.

The bed was comfortable and the room itself spacious. The location very central.

We paid extra for a second bed, which was a pull out couch. There should not have been an up charge for this pull out which was extremely uncomfortable. The bed was on an angle so the foot of the bed and your feet were above your head. The carpet was also stained.

The instructions to pick up the keys were incorrect. The Pizza place does not exist and we had to go to the Nelson Hotel to check in. Then the key code did not work. The stair access would not suit any body of any age or handicap.

The room was great had a good nights sleep. However, if we stayed longer and wanted to use the kitchen there were no utensils

You had to collect your check in information from the front desk, which they don't tell you is in a different building ten minutes up the street. There are ALOT of stairs you have to climb and the hallway itself is incredibly narrow - I only had a small suitcase. Anything larger you might be in trouble. It took almost 1 minute for the water to warm up in the shower and the pressure was pretty poor. No cable or WIFI was available. Carpets were clean but stained in areas both inside the suite and in the hallway.

The location was good. It's beside a great restaurant and there are many others in the area as well, which was handy.

This is not an Inn - it is really just rooms above a store - there is no food or drink; the owners are not on site - we were met with a person at the site who let us in and gave us the door code - which turned out to be wrong - but after we experienced a stressful period a person came with the correct code. There was no coffee maker or kitchenware as advertized. The TV operation was impossible.

What breakfast - there are no people.

This is by far the worst guest room I have ever seen. Dirt rugs, filth streaked on the walls, cracked and chipped paint, dirty and stained cabinets, blood stain on the bedding, broken smoke detector hanging from the ceiling, bathroom door is warped and won’t close, no toilet paper holder in the bathroom, a broken treadmill is being stored in the room obstructing the path into and out of the bed, the TV doesn’t work!!! we arrived back early Saturday night to watch tv. We texted management and were told they were upgrading but not finished. this is NOT a suite. This is nothing like the room shown in the advertising. booking.com should be ashamed to represent this dump.

it is well located but a total unmitigated disaster. Booking.com gave a noon arrival time. we arrived at 2:50 and had no way to gain entrance. No one is on site and no access code was provided until we called and waited until after 3 pm.

The room did not have an operating TV. Someone came to trouble shoot the problem and was unsuccessful. I was told an attempt would be made the next day to fix the situation and that the owner would make an adjustment to the room rate. I never heard from anyone. There was no parking close by and there was no linen or room cleaning service.

2 flights of stairs to get to rooms 3 and 4. No coffeemaker as in description of facilities. Bring your own glasses and cutlery for use. TV only got about 6 stations majority were French programming. Could use some hooks for hanging clothing in bathroom and garbage can. Needed 1 more bathtowel for 2 day stay. Could probably invest in plusher mattress for bed.

Close to downtown convenient for walking to restaurants and Avon theater. Nice big room. Easy check in and checkout by text.
