This property was exceptional clean , curb appeal ☑️ jacuzzi tub was fabulous, and the shower spectacular you can tell this place is well taken care of, Bed was awesome very comfortable and clean. Our host was the sweetest lady thank you again for allowing us to stay at this beautiful place we will be back sometime.

The room needs a detailed cleaning. There were a lot of cobwebs in various parts of the room, ceiling, windows, corners, etc. The TV was pointless. Trying to pick a movie or channel to watch required a subscription( so obviously the Inn didn’t subscribe to any of them!! And AT LEAST Netflix or Prime should be made available to guests). The ‘steam’ shower had NO STEAM!! It was made to look nice and had all the bells and whistles, but NONE of it worked except for the regular shower head.

The room was very spacious, quiet and comfortable.

The breakfast was not worth the price. We asked if we could get the Vietnamese breakfast but they pushed omelettes on us so we said okay. It was under cooked and the bread was dry without any butter or anything, there was no side other just a omelette, toast and orange. We were super excited about the breakfast because of the reviews but were kind of disappointed.

I am very picky for coffee... I drink Expresso tapped coffee everyday. I know it is hard to find as good coffee everywhere. But the kindness helped to forget about this!

It was little warm in the house for my liking

The owners / staff were exceptionally accommodating. I arrived more than 2 hours before check-in time, but they shifted my room to a king room from the queen room I had booked, with no change in price. The Inn is a converted house, and the room was in the basement, but it was still very comfortable, and very clean. The bathroom had also been newly renovated. The breakfast was a little different in being a prepared plate left in the fridge, but was still very tasty (2 boiled eggs, yogurt, and a large cake-like roll). It is clear that the owners try to make their guests as comfortable as possible.

There are only a couple of very small things that I would include to make the room rental 100%. It would have been a nice touch to have a kettle and microwave in the room.

The only issue was the thermostat in our room could not be adjusted and our room was hot. Management was not on-site (10pm), so we had to just crack the window as it got really warm. No big deal.

Location is great. Quick Uber to downtown Calgary. Enjoyed the walk back along the river, and then discovered a really cool commercial area an easy 20 minute walk from the property with great restaurants, bars and shops.

There was a gas fireplace in the room and we were looking forward to using it. However, there were no instructions to turn it on. We texted the 24 hour on call number to ask for instructions and did not receive a response. We finally found the control panel but the unit appeared to be nonfunctional. Please either state in the listing that the fireplace doesn’t work or provide instructions how to use it. Also, the only utensil in the kitchenette was a single spoon.

The location met our needs perfectly. We wanted to be away from the city in a neighborhood setting. Westmount River Inn is just that. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We were within a short walking distance of several restaurants and highly recommend The Lodge for lunch or dinner. We had the room with the balcony overlooking the river which was clean and very comfortable.

Kim and the staff were welcoming and we felt comfortable coming and going as we pleased. The room was small (with two suitcases) so would recommend spending the extra money to get the larger spa suite. We came in summer and some days were hot but fans were provided. Everyone was respectful and the room was quiet.

I thought, as some other travellers did to, that this was a traditional Inn. But it isn't - it's a room in someone's home and would be better placed on Airbnb than trying to say it's an Inn which is misleading. If I'd have known this I wouldn't have booked it.

The house itself is lovely and the room was a good size, as was the bathroom. Location is alright for travelling to Kensington, and with a longer walk to the city of Calgary which would take a while but is doable.

Property is clean but a bit tired. Memory foam mattress is not my first choice, as I find they are hot for sleeping. This is surely personal preference.

Location is excellent -- walking distance from a great region of restaurants, riverside, and downtown. The windows open creating a kind of cross-breeze. Owners are very friendly and helpful.
