How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very shabby, everything needs “a lick of paint”. But it is an old establishment. The reception area is more modern and very comfortable. The dining area is clean and nicely laid out. The pool looked nice and they were preparing it for opening up shortly, but we were there in late winter/early Spring.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast surprisingly plentiful (waffles, toast, egg, cereal, yogurt, juice, fruit, coffee, tea, etc). Cheapest overnight stay in the whole area. Quiet even though the place was right off the main road and was full; parked right outside our room. Staff excellent.

The beds are double, not queen and are not the most comfortable.
It was great value for the price. They even provide a free breakfast. We were able to plug our hybrid car in through the window of our room.

The AC opening in our room was close to the bed, a bit uncomfortable to sleep.
Neat and clean, they have included breakfast in the price that is commendable! Breakfast is good! Ample parking space is wonderful. Staff is kind and humble.

Due to a last minute change in my plans I did not check into my room. The Reservation agent explained she could not refund the charges due to my having made my booking online, which I accepted. I have stayed at Super 8 previously, and Super 8 would be my first choice in the future should I be travelling to Brockville, due to the convenient, and scenic location away from Hwy 401.

It would have been good if the wi-fi connection had been working. End of my comment
The WiFi service in my room did not work. My computer could not connect by the wireless Wi Fi service. I entered the password that was given to me when I checked in. The Wi Fi access code is brock2050 and I entered it in the space provided several times during the evening and the connection to wi fi did not work. Reported to Miss Tina Lovell at breakfast time on Sunday morning, just before I checked out and left the property. She said she would investigate. Everything else with this motel was acceptable. Breakfast was good cos boiled eggs were provided for protean End of my comments

Wifi did not work , then they put a different number in my phone but could not add hubby's. Then that stopped working . They cable TV but the sound kept cutting out and you had to unplug and plug it back in after 2 or 3 times of this we gave up.
Place was clean, and the room was warm and cozy. Nice big plump pillows , 2 each bed was comfortable. Had microwave and small fridge.

The first day and night were great. Until the room next to us was rented out, to some rowdy guys on the second night. My husband being deaf without his hearing aids slept right through all the noise. I checked the clock at 4 am and they still had not settled down next door. So I ended up getting up at 4:30, much earlier than I planned. I woke my husband up at around 6, after I had packed up everything dressed, and ready to go. As we were leaving our room the 2 guys were outside extending their apologies for all the noise they caused.
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by a such a sweet lovely woman. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable. She even called our room to make sure we were satisfied with it. Thank you so much Tina, for your kindness.
