How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There wasn't anything we disliked other than the location was a bit away from the city center.
Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bathroom was well equipped for people with mobility issues.

Some areas in the bathroom could do with a scrub. Around the tiles skirting areas.
We were only in the property for 10 hrs. Booked asa stop over between Calgary and Vancouver. Hotel was good.

Breakfast was not good. Also was appalled to see they use paper plates and plastic knives and forks. We haven’t had plastic knives and forks in the shops in Australia in ages. Also instead of having a jug of milk for coffee they have these silly little plastic packets to undo. Surely a dishwasher isn’t that expensive. They had a girl to wipe tables. She could just load the dishwasher . Likewise in the shower silly little packets of shampoo etc

Breakfast was pretty basic, paper plates & plastic cutlery, didn’t match what we’ve had at other 4* hotels.
Convenient location for a 1 night stop on a road trip. Room was comfortable, clean and had the basics for what we needed. Staff were friendly.

Plastic cutlery and disposable plates. Healthy breakfast choices limited, highly processed sugary and highly saturated food choices. Would have liked hard boiled eggs as an offering. However I am in the minority and the majority of breakfast guests had plates loaded
Great location, modern room and big size. Laundry facilities only $3 to use washing machine. Breakfast included in cost of room. Local mall and moon wok a good value Chinese restaurant all within walking distance

Eating breakfast with flimsy plastic utensils and disposable plates. It gives you the feeling of being served fast food and takes away the overall feeling of a nice hotel. Not to speak of all the extra unnecessary garbage.

Room was adequately clean, spacious, but the shower tile walls and grout needed a deep clean. Only decaf coffee packets in the room. Bed was a bit too firm, no pillow top mattress. The white bedspreads were looking dingy, needs bleaching. Our room overlooked adjacent Rodeway hotel property, no privacy if curtains are open. They shared a driveway. Luggage cart was narrow and small.
Close to shopping district, few blocks from Costco. Breakfast was better than average with muffins & croissants from Costco, waffle machine, choice of breads (bagels, toast, English muffins), egg patties, sausage and hash brown wedges (a few were extra hard from extended heating. An electric kettle provided in the room. Good security feature for elevator and underground parking requiring room key to access. Friendly and efficient front desk staff.

Nothing as everything went exceptionally well, I would almost perfect.
Upon arrival the desk clerk offered room upgrade to a suite. She also allowed our 2 young grandchildren to stay overnight with us free of charge including breakfast. The grandchildren were thrilled with the water slide. Breakfast was great ! Suite very comfortable especially the bed.
